That's for the voting public to judge.
I don't know whether he has or hasn't released released his records, do you have proof that he hasn't?do you have perhaps an educated guess why he hasn't? its not like he has a blanket policy against releasing any academic information
Well golly, that says nothing.
and that is a myth as well. I think through Vietnam Yale had supplied more officers to the US army than any other college in the country. Current volunteer military does not have a ton of poor people in it because they often cannot make the grade Two guys I know well (one a nephew) served in the special forces. The first guy, about my age was heir to a major league construction firm and grew up on a 50 acre estate in an area where land goes for 130K an acre. He did 6 years as ENLISTED in the SF. My nephew-the son of a Harvard and Michigan Law graduate, joined ROTC after 9-11 then went AIT then Rangers Two combat tours in Iraq, then another 14 month deployment in Afghanistan with the SF (currently a Captain). He didn't have to work a day in his life yet he's carrying 90 pounds of gear in the mountains of Afghanistan.
So, is Mitt running for president. Or Mitt's kid?
Tell you what...if it makes you feel better, don't vote for Matt.

There was a claim he didn't attend Columbia, which seems to be untrue.
snopes.com: Barack Obama at Columbia
Vietnam was a working man's war. And you are correct that many of higher economic levels felt the patriotic calling to serve. But the college draft deferment was an attractive avenue to avoid the war and thus college enrollment went up during the conflict.
I appreciate your nephews service to our country and can tell you are very proud of them. I truly wish them well and a safe return home.
My only point is that almost every American family at one generation or other has had family members in the military. As far as known, not one Romney member for three generations has ever served in the miitary.
Of course many respond that Obama nor Biden served and that is true. But both have had military members in their families with Obama's grandfathers and Biden's son.
As a lawyer I think you can do far better than this. Whatever you find that's conclusive please send it to Mitt.the WSJ had an article that established Obama did graduate from Columbia but it also noted he didn't even achieve "cum laude" which is around a 3.3 GPA. (most schools release the graduates with the honors noted as well)

I think there is a humongous difference between the government wanting access to more information about individual citizens and the people wanting more information about the individuals seeking to be elected to run the government. The fact that the government uses the "what've you got to hide" line to justify wanting access to more information and greater authority doesn't make it a legitimate response to a politician treating private matters as private matters.
