I'm talking purely medically here. And do note, that being mildly overweight (which is what she would be, from the looks of things) is not considered medically significant in most cases. In some situations it can even be beneficial. The main concern is usually in preventing any further weight gain, since the person is displaying a tendency to carry more weight than they strictly should, and we live in a society where gaining weight is really, really easy.

I'm just sayin' she's almost certainly overweight. And as Americans, we tend to think "normal" is bigger than it actually is.

Yeah, that was an insanely misogynistic comment. And woman her size and bigger have been the subject of many an artistic masterpiece all throughout history. Far more often than the super model type, that's for sure.

I wouldn't know from experience, but I've heard that blow-up dolls feel much better when you blow them up all the way. Pro-Tip.

Sure, just like we have freedom of intolerance but that does not make it right.

Super models these days aren't shapely. They aren't just thin - they're significantly underweight.

Now, if we're talking super models from the 80's or something, that's a different thing all together. Those women were mad buff and genetically gifted, but certainly healthy. But super models from the last 20 years or so are beyond thin and into the territory of dangerous. I'm totally tired of "skinny hate" of thin women, but super models are not just thin. If we were taking it in the opposite direction, it would be like idolizing morbid obesity. It's really unhealthy.

I'm willing to bet money that these 'defections' from her twitter account dont exactly impact her $ bottom line all that much. I also think its pretty pathetic that people would stop enjoying her music not over a position on abortion, or the war, but over the support of a candidate. But...c'est la vie...people should feel free to not support her...not listen to her music.

For the record...I've seen her perform...she is energetic...dynamic...and aint nothin wrong with curves!

It's not misogynistic at all, because it wasn't qualified by gender.

Super models =/= all models. I don't think you have a very good understanding of the fashion industry if you are still so hyperfocused on "super models".

"I do not claim that every incident in the history of empire can be explained in directly economic terms. Economic interests are filtered through a political process, policies are implemented by a complex state apparatus, and the whole system generates its own momentum."

The post I was replying to specified super models. Did you read it?

I'm actually very much a fan of some of the alt industry models. Lots of different shapes and sizes. Super models? No, not particularly. I'm tired of reading about them dying of anorexia.

Let's see...a beauty contest between a model (shapely of course) and a fat housewife. Who looks at the fat one and say she's a winner? Another fat person, that's who.
