Veterans for Peace food pantry donations

Volunteers Thomas ( right, who didn't want his last name used), and John Lazarski unload food for the pantry. More than 50 volunteers, firefighters and veterans helped unload the donation, valued at $10,000, from American Legion Post 537. Veterans for Peace is partnered with Never Homeless, whose mission it is to get homeless veterans off the streets and into warm, safe places as well as supply food from the pantry.

THIS is the spirit of Christmas. A huge thank you to all our soldiers and veterans who are soldiering for Americans. They took an oath of office to defend America from all enemies, both foreign and domestic, and face it, hunger in America is definitely a domestic enemy.

Thank you for your service, guys.

Agreed. I would like to see even more volunteerism.
