My adding that is is stupid to focus on something like this IS ON TOPIC. If you think I'm off topic, report me, but I will continue to point out how stupid it is with the housing crisis and economic crisis that House Republicans are wasting tax payer money on sh*t like this. Don't like what I say tough sh*t, DEAL WITH IT.

Only liberals report people, and you appear to be such a kind and loving individual who has a wonderful way with words. That and you never yell.

Not my fault you support House Republicans wasting taxpayers money on stupid things like this. I can understand why you are embarrassed to put "conservative" as your lean.

Uhm...the House just passed a bill extending the SS tax cut and unemployment benefits through the end of 2012...while the senate bickered and bitched and only passed a 2-month extension (though both bills paid for themselve). The Speaker also asked them to forgo vacation and work. This is just a nonsense whine.

I'm impressed with how many people believe that Congress only votes on the big issues on a day-to-day basis.

So what you're saying is that when I borrowed my dads chain saw and went to give it back and he said "keep it as long as you need it" me saying "Oh, that's alright, I cut down all the branches I needed to and don't have any use for it anymore" that was a slap in the face?

Only a hyper-partisan would think that returning something to someone that loaned it to you is acting like a baby.

To be honest, this is a little different than borrowing a tool. It would kind of be like, saying, "Hey, France...we don't want this statue anymore. We're sending it back."

Now, then again, it's quite possible that the conversation went differently. I wasn't in the OO when Obama called England and told 'em to expect a package.

I'm amazed at how many people (after complaining about government waste) are apologetic to House Republicans wasting money and time on worthless things like this.

    Well, it's a good thing I don't, eh?

It's normal operations in Washington D.C., and no, I do not criticize it.

You make a good point, but it's also different from the statue of liberty in that one was on loan and one was a gift. I don't think it's unfair to say that Obama made a poor decision in returning the bust. I don't agree with it, but I could understand the argument. What I do find to be an amazingly silly argument is that it was a slap in the face to British everywhere and Obama nearly caused world war 3 because he returned the bust. I think some people, out of fear and ignorance, are making this out to be a much bigger deal than it really is or should be.
