That's absurd. It takes common sense.

I suppose in your view we should assume every small toddler and child thinks of and fully understands such concepts? Whatever happened to children being innocent and not understanding the more complex ideals we older folk deal with? How telling, Kal'Stang.

I agree with the premise of your comment. I think people seriously underestimate what an 8 year old is capable of however. They are way smarter than many here give them credit for being. Do I think an 8 year old is capable of this on his or her own? Yes I do.

Is that the case here? Well that really is the question isn't it?

Wait...two posts off of my one? hmm...

And perhaps you are asigning him your complex thoughts when he has no such thoughts? Perhaps his thoughts are simply that his mommy doesn't need fixed?

Is a child of 8 years capable of understanding communism or any other ideology? Capable of understanding the ongoing philosophical fissure know as homosexuality? No, I think not. A child, an innocent one at that, would not come to the mental crossroads of whether or not homosexuality is something natural/unnatural/something to be fixed. A child raised with a gay mother would say, "I have two mommie," yet not understand the underlying reasons or conceivable of what is and isn't fixable. A lesbian mother who despises Bachmann for her views on homosexuality, well, is not innocent and undoubtedly understands such conceptual details.

Kid's an innocent kid, and doesn't have the capacity to understand such philosophical concepts. You may as well argue that the children of the WBC "get it" internally, and aren't being manipulated one iota.

    What utter hogwash.

If they're learning all of this...why couldn't they make the leap into saying that thier mommy doesn't need fixed?

Edited to make the quote easier to read.

Really? Then why is it that right around that time I was able to understand by myself that studying people, thier emotions, and reactions to various stimuli could be good for me?

Pawn's don't stand up to bullies.

The child got to see the monster Bachmann leap back in shock as she was confronted by a child harmed by her prior bad acts and hateful words.

"You've hurt my family, you've hurt me. But I'm not afraid of you."

Why didn't the brave and 'christian' Bachmann follow the mother and her son and ask to talk to them further? She's a coward, too afraid to admit what goes on in her own family.

Sorry, but I'm looking for something far more objective to discourse.

The child was no "brave, thoughtful, and courageous hero" as you so love to portray.

Bachmann was no "horrible, cowardly, and evil fiend" as you say, either.

    Ridiculous.
