the Chinese are tunneling everywhere, and they tend to run it under their civilian construct budgets. reason #97 why people taking their "defense spending" numbers are false value are either clueless or complicit.

All I was saying facetiously was that the US has Spy Satellites orbiting the earth continually watching the surface and some acting as an "early warning defense system." And that our military technology was probably superior to China and that their tunnels weren't very important. Our govn doesn't want other countries to know what we really have, do they?

Whether the proposed antiballistic missile system of which SBIRS Low would be a part would be effective is technically controversial. It wasn't my original intention to be sarcastic or cheeky to anyone in particular. I couldn't see China wanting any direct harm to come to their biggest customer at this time. I thought I was being obviously silly about the Star Wars type lasers and hypersonic missiles. I surely would never have mentioned it had I known someone would take such offense. My apologies :mrgreen:

ps. In my research of advanced weaponry info I stumbled somehow onto a site that listed military contractors all over the web and the stuff they offer to sell to governments I guess, was actually very spooky. It was way beyond my technical knowledge and beyond anything I even imagined they had. I got off that page PDQ and began wondering when men in black suits and sunglasses were going to show at my front door. :shock: I feel like Sargent Schultz from Hogan Heroes "I know nothing!"

Of cource I watch Fox News, but also CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC and MSNBC.

I even switch from AM talk to FM music occassionally.

You and many others on the left may be satisfied with half the news but some of us prefer the whole story.

Those of you who restrict your sources of information on the word of those who think for you and by the rules of political correctness are doomed to a life of ignorance.

The only way to successfully make a well informed decision is to be well informed____Voting is much to important a task to perform with half a brain.

It is true that I harbor animosity towards the left because I blame the sad condition of our nation on the poor judgement they have used at the ballot box.

You people don't seem to be aware that the further to the left the United States drifts the worse the problem gets___It's as if you are all oblivious to reality.

Generalization and demonization based upon partisianship is what has divided this country, and caused congress to be in perpetual paralyzed gridlock. "You" people are half of the problem. "Those" people are the other half.

There's nothing wrong with a little capitalism but when it places material possessions above human interests then it becomes an end in itself. You say you don't like half the story but what if the whole truth can only be gleaned from all the people? We are one people from one source of energy find the common thread that runs through us all and you will know the whole truth.

Human emotions and weaknesses are not attributes of Capitalism, it is merely a "economical system"___Thats like blaming an automobile for the crimes of a drunk driver.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness"

To get back on track we must re-adopt the basic principles of our founding fathers which brought america to it's pinnacle of wealth, power and greatness.

Capitalism is not an inanimate object like an automobile it's a complex, economic system most assuredly involving human emotions and weaknesses. As a pure philosophy it promotes greed above all. Though I still believe as a business model it's principles are yet unmatched.

On this we agree but the simple answer to common thread is.. Love. Find love in your heart for Life, Freedom and Humanity then your power of deduction and intellect will come from truth.

Our founding fathers were truly remarkable people of wisdom and understanding but they were not the ones to bring America to its pinnacle of wealth and power, maybe its greatness though.

Correct, there are no conservatives to blame simply because for many decades, true conservatives have had too little representation at the federal level to share blame for anything.

However the Republican Party, which has been far too accommodating to the Democrat Party, most certainly does share the blame for the progressive decline of this once great nation.

These two corrupt, greedy and power hungry political parties have compromised the United States into economic chaos with a 15 trillion dollar debt and shredded the constitution in the process.

The Tea Party seems to be the only group to recognize this that has also been able to successfully organize themselves, although I don't believe they are quite sure how to go about solving the problem.
