According to the 2011 Mercer Quality of Living survey, the best place in the world to live is Vienna, Austria. I've only spent a few days there, but I can definitely understand their ranking it so highly. I'm hoping to go back soon. Their top 10 list was:
1. Vienna, Austria
2. Zurich, Switzerland
3. Auckland, New Zealand
4. Munich, Germany
5. Dusseldorf, Germany
6. Vancouver, Canada
7. Frankfurt, Germany
8. Geneva, Switzerland
9. Bern, Switzerland
9. Copenhagen, Denmark
Several American cities made it on to their list too. According to Mercer, the US cities with the highest quality of life were Honolulu (#29), San Francisco (#30), Boston (#36), Chicago (#43), Washington (#43), New York (#47), and Pittsburgh (#49).

What do you think of their list? Are there any cities that didn't make the list that you think should have?
