OK, now McQueary is saying he DID talk to the police.
McQueary Penn State scandal: Mike McQueary says he did go to police - mcall.com
So either McQueary is a liar, or all the bashing of Paterno for "not doing enough" is bull**** because, if McQueary is being honest, there was no need for Paterno to report the incident to the cops since McQueary had already done so.
He may be a liar, I can't say. But what he did has nothing to do with what paterno did or didn't do. The man worked for Paterno, continued to have access to the college, and paterno, as best we know, did little follow up. paterno himself said he didn't do enough. I respect Paterno's accomplishments. he was a great coach, and his emphasis on education was significant. But this did happen on his watch, and by his own admission, he could have done more.
