Though not as agregous as McQueary's cowardance, being afraid of consequences is not justification for not stopping a predator. We have to have the moral clarity to know that such a thing must be stopped, and the courage to stop it and hold such evil accountable.

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.

Well...he should have been fired when he testified he witnesssed it -- which I think was several years ago. One has to ask: "Where's this story been?" And those who do ask don't understand the power and money behind college football.
oh, there is plenty of blame to go around. where were the kid's parents in all of this? surely they were notified. why didn't they insist that the cops do something about it at the time?

didn't this incident happen in 2002? I thought sandusky retired in 1999. WTF was he doing bringing kids up to the locker room anyway?

Are you suggesting that it's partly the parents' fault?

it's as much the parent's fault as it is Paterno's fault. if we are going to blame everyone involved....then let's blame EVERYONE involved.

by not going to the police themselves, this boys parents are just as guilty as Paterno and just as responsible for every boy that got butt-raped afterwards.

If you read the grand jury report, you'll see that there were foster care situations and single moms. One mother did speak up at the time.

don't know: that's why I asked the question "where were the parents in all of this". If they knew, they are just as guilty as everyone else.
