If a state has failing infrastructure then that state should be kicked in the ass, not bailed out yet AGAIN and CERTAINLY not by future generations because this generation is too corrupt and irresponsible to be accountable. I know it is a radical and foreign concept but for the love of GOD...start being responsible.
Christ, man, make the rich pay their fair share of taxes already. You know, like they did under Republican Presidents Nixon, Ford, and Eisenhower.

Define "fair share". Define "the rich". Arguments have so much more credibility when they aren't regurgitated talking points.

How many of those goods and resources do you use? How much do YOU pay? Before you start belching out Obamaspeak...are YOU paying ANYTHING, Let alone YOUR "fair share"?

Sorry, the money that should be invested in the infastructure has been re-directed to pay for Welfare, Social Security, Medicare, etc... Besides, a large portion of these infastructure that needs to be worked on is NOT stuff the FEDERAL government should be paying for to begin with.

To fully explore that would be a discussion in and of itself. I do contend that the top 1% of income earners should pay more in taxes, however.

Whoa, what's with the holier-than-thou attitude? You first, man.

Kinda what I figured. Kinda tough to back up that 'fair share' rhetoric when you are simply spewing someone elses bull****. Its not 'holier than thou'. You threw it out. Back it up.

    but for the record...yes...I do.

No. Just, no. I don't play these kind of games. Let's get back on topic already.

Re: Sen. Bernie Sanders: U.S. becoming laughing stock of the world

This reminds me of Jennifer Granholm's experience on a recent trip to China:

"Jennifer Granholm, the former governor of Michigan, has a story she likes to tell about the Chinese. Granholm visited China in March. At one meet-and-greet, a Chinese official buttonholed her and asked when the U.S. was going to implement a national energy policy. By her own account, Granholm hemmed and hawed, mentioning the rise of the Tea Party and the inability of the current Congress “to get its act together.”

Granholm and I are sitting in a corner office of a building on the University of California at Berkeley campus, where Granholm is spending a year of “sabbatical.” She leans over her desk, looks me in the eye, and demonstrates how the the Chinese official rubbed his hands together like a kid unable to contain his glee right before unwrapping Christmas presents. “‘Take your time,’ he tells me,” says Granholm. “‘Take your time.’”

She shakes her head as if in disbelief at how short-sighted the American political establishment has become. Her point is obvious, and oft-repeated during the course of our interview: In a globalized world, the U.S. economy will not thrive unless we get serious about targeting strategically important sectors of the economy. The rest of the world is playing the economic development game for keeps, while the U.S. seems willing to abandon the board all together."

Bernie Sanders, though a socialist and a laughingstock, does have a point: The US really do need to tidy up its infrastructure quickly

"The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries" - Winston Churchill

I gotcha...you have no problem throwing out mindless rhetoric and talking points....THATS appropriate. But hey...thats as far as you go...no backing it up or explaining it. Gotcha. Now...back to the subject...

Lol, Obama could spit in face of Union members and at this point he'd probably still get their votes, given the current platform of Republicans re: unions.
