How can he fudge on not knowing that china has had nukes for 40 some odd years ? and has more nukes than Great Britain...
Every interview hes been on he has fudged something...there was something he didnt know or stated outright wrong...the guy scares the chit out of me ...Who the hell could want him to be the leader of the Free world...cmon..

I question your definition of conservatives. Most of the people constantly bashing Obama are hardly conservative. They are partisan hackjobs who cheer liberal agendas that are pushed by Republicans. How many of them have demanded the repeal of the Bush Medicare D? None. Even though it by all measures is HARDLY conservative at all.

Those people are not Conservative. They are Republican hackjobs. Most wouldn't know what the ideology was if it smacked them in the forehead.

He could say that he never said that China does not have nuclear as the article claims.

He's not going to be President - I'm not entirely convinced that he entered the race for genuine reasons instead of for the media attention to sell his books and more speaking and TV jobs, but maybe he has convinced himself that he could win.
 
I don't think much of Cain but I actually think this doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't know China is a nuclear power, I mean he uses the phrase "develop military capability" earlier in that quote and no one is blasting him for being unaware that China has a military. I think "develop nuclear capability" could easily and more likely mean that he's saying they want to increase their nuclear capability.

Also OP, don't pretend as if the exact date and year of China's first nuclear test is something like common knowledge and is something we'd all know off the top of our heads.

It's just that some in here are always saying - when a conservative is called out - that IF he had been a democrat the biased 'LIBRUHL MEDIA' would have let him slide.

Just pointing out that the 'LIBRUHL MEDIA' lets conservatives slide also. Hence the wink at the end...:lol:

By that measure, it could applies to us as well. China has submarine launched ICBMs (and has had them for quite some time). They've reached the point (and have for quite some time) where their nuclear capabilities are capable of severely decimating the populated areas of the United States. The fact that China (like everyone else) is upgrading doesn't really mean anything in that context.
