He isn't a serious candidate? That's news to me.
His candidacy is as serious as write in campaign for Human Turdbag
He isn't a serious candidate? That's news to me.
During Herman Cain’s tenure as the head of the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s, at least two female employees complained to colleagues and senior association officials about inappropriate behavior by Cain, ultimately leaving their jobs at the trade group, multiple sources confirm to POLITICO.
The women complained of sexually suggestive behavior by Cain that made them angry and uncomfortable, the sources said, and they signed agreements with the restaurant group that gave them financial payouts to leave the association. The agreements also included language that bars the women from talking about their departures.
His campaign staff was given the name of one woman who complained last week, and it was repeated to Cain on Sunday. He responded, “I am not going to comment on that.”
He was then asked, “Have you ever been accused, sir, in your life of harassment by a woman?”
He breathed audibly, glared at the reporter and stayed silent for several seconds. After the question was repeated three times, he responded by asking the reporter, “Have you ever been accused of sexual harassment?”
Three words: William Jefferson Clinton
Does this impact in any way on his ability to be president?
That was asked earlier in the thread and the answer is no...but if your going to run for president everything in your past is public knowledge and the public is entitled to know about all candidates to base their vote.
I understand that, but for someone to base their vote on something as trivial as this is stupid.
And reelected. So apparently groups like NOW and certainly the majority of Dem voters couldnt care less about something as trivial as allegations of some form of improper conduct around women when they blow off as trivial allegations of rape.Oh is he running for president again Bob ? oh wait hes already been impeached and censured over that
given the history of the presidency i would say it is a prerequisite. We have already agreed that even if it did happen, sexual harrassment doesn't disqualify one from being president.

I agree with this. I think it is tough to claim a 'high tech lynching' if in fact the allegations are real. If they are real but unfounded he should simply explain the situation. No, but it does shed light on his character.

I just think it is comical that there are liberals bringing up anything regarding sexual misconduct in light of how readily they swallowed everything Clinton gave them and did. And FTR...he was a good president. Just not someone you would trust around your daughter.
"High tech lynching"? The fact is anytime there's a scandal it's plastered all over the news especially when leading the Republican Primary. I honestly don't care about his past regarding that. It's 10 years ago, the issue was resolved and there's much worse characteristics a President could have.I agree with this. I think they would use anything they have on anyone that is a front runner. I doubt the black thing comes into play. A few weeks ago we saw news articles and severl threads here started about Perry because of a 'racist' former name of club he was a member of. It IS a little hypocritical though...people still make jokes about Bush and his alleged cocaine use but Obamas crack use is not even an issue. It's true, there is a double standard. Maybe this was put out there so the race card could be played. Politics is dirty like that. "How come it's okay for Clinton but not Cain? Is it because he's black?"

Well, Cain has now denied the allegations so if they do prove true then we can add dishonesty to the list of reasons he should not be POTUS.
We have all already agreed that you do not have to be honest to be president.
Obamas crack use is not even an issue.

It is either an issue or it isnt...but...maybe I missed it...when was Clinton forthright? About anything?Obama volunteered information about his drug use. Bush avoided it. Clinton was forthright too.
