What do you call the massive redistribution from the middle class and the working class to the top1% under Bush?

You are not ignorant, are you, to the fact that over the last decade this country has seen the largest redistribution of wealth in the history of this country....and it wasn't under Obama.

No, the geniuses that ran wall street (deregulated under W.) created investment products that imploded.

You obviously don't have a clue how it works. You directly/indirectly benefit fed government services and programs every hour of every day, then cry about having to pay for it.

W. ran up a war debt and unfunded prescription drug program, then left Obama with a collapsing economy. They have succeeded in stopping the hemorrhaging, yet the Teabag morons want to rip the bandages off and let the blood flow.

Some Teabag business group was actually sending out emails asking small businesses to stop hiring. It's all about the Black Man in the White House. Half this country just wasn't ready. And that is sad.
 
It's actually worse than that. It's bad enough when we elect politicians who receive slightly less than 50% of the votes, a viable third party candidate will make it possible for us to elect our leaders with only 34% of the votes. Nope, that doesn't work for me.

Coming from him, however - I'm surprised he had nothing more to say that what seems to be a critique of everyone's 'real world potential' - that's a let down. He's gone soft(er) I guess.

What's that word that comes before 'States' in the name of our country?

This is where you far-righies jump right off the fail cliff every time. What happens in California effects the entire country. The economies of the states are so intertwined. But you really have to have a grasp of the complexity of the American economy. Which you obviously don't.

nonexistent. the only redistribution that was going on during that time period was from the middle, upper middle, and upper class to the poor, lower middle, and political classes.

this is true. California's idiocy has been a mixed bag for the other states - on the downside, depressed economic performance effects us all; but on the upside, they get to benefit as the productive people flee the west coast.

Your screen name is appropriate, you are living in a fantasy. Bush's tax cuts caused the top earners to pay an even larger share of the federal government. Try to get your facts correct.

I suspect the apologists for the tea party whackjobs and the far right of what makes up the GOP will now proceed to tar and feather Scarborough, imply that he is NOT a true conservative, and attempt to take away his True Believer membership card. His subscription to the Lew Rockwell emailings will be canceled, he will not be welcome at the next ALEC convention, and the CATO Institute has removed him from a possible Board position in the future.

But its still a great article that speaks volumes of truth.

And it will have no impact at all upon the the Republican process.

In reality, we've been in recovery since 2008 when W. left us at -9% growth.
