Libertarianism is bad for corporatism. Ron Paul has only a slightly better chance of being on tv than a true lefty!

All you ever see in the media is them talking up their "centrists" canidates which usually means pro-corporate standings with either left or right social policies mixed in to give people the idea they have an "option".

A judgment made by the guy complaining that Ron Paul isn't popular. Well, I'll take that seriously.

Yet even in those cases there is something to be said for increasing brand-name recognition.
Here is where you opened your mouth and inserted foot. Brand recognition comes as a result of a product's appeal to a consumer base. I'm not sure how to stress this to Libertarians but, your ideology? It's not appealing to the overwhelming majority of people. It's not even appealing to 50% of the people in this country. Ron Paul and Libertarians are indeed a fringe minority in this country. A loud one, but a fringe minority, none the less.

That your views are ignored should come as no surprise to you. I've rarely ever heard anybody in serious political circles(liberal or conservative) even discuss the idea of getting out of the UN or removing all of our troops worldwide. The notion of the gold standard? It's not even up for debate because of how ludicrous the idea is. Surely you'll protest that these are not all the tenets of Libertarianism and there is so much more I should learn about your beliefs. However, I don't really care about your beliefs. Libertarians are the real life political version of 4chan trolls. Your opinion is as valuable as a Milton Freedman speech.

As far as the rest of your post is concerned? Nothing but silliness by somebody who clearly hasn't ever set foot within 100 miles of a TV studio much less understands the very basics of how media companies work. Channels like NBC, MSNBC, ABC, FOX etc, seldom chose to promote a particular candidate over another. Why? There's absolutely nothing to gain for the programing. TV hosts are usually responsible for whatever bias one finds on a channel and even then they try to focus on the people who are leading in the national polls as. As Ron Paul only seems to lead on the internet polls, why should they even care about focusing on the guy who comes in 4th or 5th? He's not recognizable. He's not even a serious candidate.

Now, 3 clips on John Stewart do not a pattern make as TV personalities usually have a stock cache of phrases that they use. 1-2 TV hosts not caring about Ron Paul? That doesn't mean zee evil msm is out to shut him out. It means that well, he's boring. What I'm trying to explain to you is that Ron Paul is like that old uncle that nobody in the family wants to deal with but we keep him around simply because there's really no other option.

    Live with it.

I would suggest that you spend a little more time looking into the media. Do you presume I came to my conclusions about the media frivolously and only out of bias? For me this has been a long learning process that even now continues. However, my learning is now more about uncovering the various ways in which the media is controlled by establishment interests to preserve their grip on power. Naive notions like yours have long been exposed as shallow falsehoods in my eyes. Chomsky's concept of the propaganda model is only shown to be more accurate as I continue exploring the various nuances of media coverage.

Another reason why Romney can't ever get over the 25% rating in the polls - the Republican machine does not like that he is a Mormon, so they now have a new hero - Cain.
