Would the Republicans use their majorities to introduce wide ranging and sweeping changes repealing much of the last 80 years of progressive reform?

And if they would do that, what would be the position of Romney in terms of signing such right wing legislation? The possiblity for harm is great.
I think it would be great and it would be "fair." After all, Obama and the Dems had both Houses and they acted on their extreme leftwing agenda. Equal opportunity and "fairness" says that it should be the rightwing's time. Oh, it would be so sweet if they actually did enact their agenda. Oh, this site would just sizzle! Heeheeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Hard for anyone to conclude that Romney is anything but a moderate. How else would he have been elected as governor of mass. My sense is that he would work with congress before legislation is written and made sure it was not over the top.

Let's remember that we he was what, co-founder of one of the great consultant groups in America. You don't do that while lurching wildly to one side or the other.

Im not sure that what romney himself is or what he wants would be that relevant with a gop controlled house and senate...I think they would push him to the right

I doubt that we would be in the position we are now in if there was room for real compromise. Both parties in congress make it clear that nothing rational will come out of there. Thus we need a president who will be a true leader, not a partisan. It is depressing that our current president has chosen to be on the campaign trail for the next 14 months and has given up on the idea of governing. I guess the American public is getting what they deserved for voting this guy in, but this is just to painful.

And if your extremist dreams come true, there may be a whole lot more "sizzling" than just on message boards.

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

that's it?.. those paltry numbers are those who believe Romney and Cain are qualified to be President?

it should be 100% for each.

I mean the qualifications are quite simple.... 35 years old, citizen, lived in the US for 14 years, and doesn't already have 2 terms as El Presidente.

yup, both Qualify.... no doubt about it.
