Cheney has been the walking dead for two decades.
And Cheney had no chance at all ever being elected president.

Let Christie gain more prestige and experience first. I fear much of it will be too much hype for now.

Kristol is no far right-winger (well, unless you contrast that to the mainstream of the intellectual class, then yes). Only idiots suggest that. His publication for the past 15 years has been moderate Republican that accept much of the establishment GOP since 1995.

I don't disagree with that. However, my point is that the base of the Republican party has always been more concerned with social issues than fiscal issues. That is why social conservatives have always had more of an influence over the party than fiscal conservatives, and that obsession by the base with social and cultural issues (even with an economy as bad as it is) could hurt a social moderate like Christie.

Think about it, Perry is not the most fiscally conservative guy in the race, but he is certainly one of the most socially conservative candidates.

I think he's only "reconsidering" to appease all the wealthy east coast backers he needs for his reelection bid. It really would be stupid for him to enter at this point. He'd never get past the fact that he said he doesn't think he is ready a few months ago.

I like Christie, I would vote for him. I love how he doesn't take crap from the media that openly tries to smear him.
