So you dissagree that GM should be selling cars in China for a profit? Should they sell them in China at a loss, like they have in the past in the US?

Or that China has exported cars to the US? Or that GM cars built in the US would be not be profitable in China?

Or that China requires joint manufacturing to build cars in China

Your post is so vague as to be useless in any sort of discussion

GM took tax payer dollars to survive and now they are taking jobs to China. There seems to be a train of thought in here of, oh well all corps do that but the difference is all corps didn’t take tax payer dollars to survive, they should have to operate at a different level. Did we save GM that was ostensibly too big to fail just so they could move to China? Unions can’t be happy and Obama can’t be happy either. In essence we all got the middle finger from GM.

To put this into perspective the NLRB said that Boeing could not open a factory it built in South Carolina to when it was expanding capacity for a new jetliner. I guess the lesson from a company that the US bailed out and is still the largest stockholder is forget trying to open plants in the US with all the red tape, go to China!

As a consumer you shop to find to the cheapest product and as a business they have the right to do the same with their costs.

If you want to keep them maybe you should you offer them something to make them use the more expensive product?

Yes, any employee present and future who would have worked on this. There are a lot of good people in Michigan and other states who would love to go back to work making cars for America and the world. It seems however GM said **** you! to Americans and hello to China.

The bailout that changed up their power structure and reshaped the business around government policy? You mean the loan that wasn't I take over if you fail to pay it back but I take over when you ask for a loan. That bailout?
