Report: Glen Rice, Sarah Palin had a one-night stand in ’87

One serious question to ask here: Sarah Palin has a great deal of contempt for what she has labeled as "the lamestream media". She has criticized their objectivity, their ethics and their methods. I noticed this about the story

Palin, according to the book, had a fling thing with Rice in 1987, while he was in college and she was a sports reporter fresh out of college and working at KTUU in Alaska. Rice was a junior at the University of Michigan at the time and their one-night stand occurred

Now if this is true, Palin was covering the U of M team as a professional reporter and ended up in bed with a person who was suppose to be objectively reporting on. This would seem to be a violation of ethics in and of itself that she committed. Perhaps her contempt for a lack of news media ethics stems from her own record when she was a member of that profession?

c'mon haymarket. a bit far-fetched. her contempt for the media stems from the fact that they didn't adore her.

Oh I agree with you that she has hatred for the mass media because she feels they do not like her. No doubt about that. However, this entire episode does bring up the interesting question about her own ethics she employed while in the reporting profession as a member of the mainstream media.

That is about as believable as the author of the book. Zilch!

Why is it so unbelievable? People **** all the time.

i think glen rice said he knew her, and said he wouldn't elaborate. sounds like they had a roll in the hay to me.

Wow! You sure can assume a lot, can't you? I knew the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, but I am not going to tell you how I met her. Ah! I must have had sex with her. Silly! Just plain silly!

Isn't there some saying about "little minds?"

I'm not asking about the book, just this particular story.

Which came from this particular book by this particular author who has been discredited by even the NY Times.

That has no bearing on this particular part of the book, though. Even if every other story in the book is false, this one could be true. The fact that there have been no denials about it form either Rice or Palin implies that it is not entirely unbelievable.

it's silly to claim the story is untrue when you don't it is. when do you think sarah sues, btw?

Never. You have to believe this was checked out ten ways to Sunday before they printed it.

It's far worse to believe that it is true than to say you don't know when you don't know. I don't believe I have said that the story is false.

Glen Rice Sarah Palin | Today Show Video | SportsGrid

Mainly, Rice seemed interested in portraying whatever happened in as wholesome a manner as he could. It was “respectful,” not “hurried.” They got to know each other personally. He even went on to say that Palin was “a big crush” of his after whatever did happen between the two happened. All this, of course, might be true (and from the sound of it, Rice is about as kind to Palin as anyone McGinniss interviewed). It still doesn’t change that Sarah Palin and Glen Rice had some sort of relationship way back when…and we’re still trying to wrap our heads around it.

While this does not have Rice saying the exact words I SLEPT WITH PALIN - it does lead down a certain path that seems to add credibility to this.

The National Enquirer? ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Rice confirmed this - what does it matter to whom? I can think of other sex scandals where the Enquirer was correct.

And the Enquirer was proved accurate then.

The enquirer should still be taken with a grain of salt, though, since it is a less than trustworthy source. Another, more trustworthy source is necessary before we believe or disbelieve the claim.

Ted Kennedy and Michelle Bachmann!?!?!?!?!:shock:

and she looks very very happy about it!!!!! ;)
