Well the revolution is not over yet...

Are you saying youd much rather have them be under Mubarak with this sarcastic remark?: "How's that hope-n-change working for the Egyptians?"

Things are going to worse now, than under Mubarack. Kinda like South Africa when Mandella took over.

So South Africa was better under a violent segregation? Where people were denied their rights based on skin color?

Mubarack was terrible... Plain out terrible. The revolution is still going on in Egypt its not over.

Dem, he's saying it to get at me.

As usual he's got his tissues on hand ready to jack off after he makes these rediculously sick comments.

I just can't believe a person who claims to be black, would say that South Africa was better off as a Whites Only violent regime who's answer to peaceful protest was savage attacks.

Ever heard of Sharpeville apdst?

Ever heard of the Soweto Uprisings?

Is this what you're saying was better?

Well yes it is apperently.

Whatever Mandelas roots may have been in politics, South Africa is a thriving capitalist market, and while it does have its problems, and some stupid regulations such as BEE (Black Economic Empowerment) which is affirmative action on steroids and involves ownership issues of companies, we are not a communist nation in any way shape or form.

You are a complete and utter tool.

Doesn't change the fact that Mandela is a commie. And issues? oh yeah! Ya'll got issue, alright! :lamo

Nor, does it change the fact that South Africa's government is led by the African National Congress in cooperation with the Congress of South African Trade Unions and the South African Communist Party.

I rest my case.

Except, he left out the part about the Tripartite Alliance. Doesn't Jet live in Canada?

Can you please show me specific policies that Mandela implemented as President that made South Africa communist, and how his beliefs as a young man changed over the course of his imprisonment... including before his release from prison meeting various business leaders and forming a pro capitalist society where private enterprise flourishes, comparatively to the rest of the continent and communist nations.

Hell we even have our own homegrown fast food chains... if that's not a sign of capitalism I don't know what is...

And are you still going to argue that the White Apartheid Regime gunning down defenceless blacks in the streets was better for the country?

I'll be waiting for your answer.

Jet does live in Canada.

Jet is From South Africa.

Jet knows what you're talking about.

And that does not prove that

A) Mandela is a ardent communist (he's not, he's more of a social democrat)

B) That South Africa is a communist nation (It's not)

C) That South Africa under Apartheid is better (It wasn't) and any self respecting black man would never say such a thing.

I thought apdst was one of the less ranting conservatives, but I now chance my stance.
Seriously, you think that South Africa was better without Mandela? For heaven's sake, he might be a commie, but he brought good sense to the South African people. Not all commies are bad, you know.
At least, he didn't massacre the South African people.
If I had to choose between a racist and a commie, I'd choose the commie

Let's take a step back and relax folks. The issue, while emotional for some, does not call for the type of attacks that have taken place already.

The thread was going off topic, and I kinda knew the thread will receive a mod warning ever since people started to talk about South Africa.
Back to Egypt, my opinion is that a military dictatorship is being established. Of course, the ruling military promised elections and such, but previous military dictatorships made the same empty promises before in history. The Egyptians, sadly, has gotten all the bloodshed and the resulting chaos for nothing. They're no better off under Mubarak then they are now. The Korean during the 60's, 70's, and 80's had the same kind of military dictatorships too. Park-Chung-Hee, a military dictator, took over when Lee-Syngman-Man (the first Korean president/dictator) was overthrown by people's protest. He also had the power of the military take over, promised the same kind of democratic elections, and ruled for more than a decade until he was assasinated.

Can anyone prove that the military ever gave up power in Egypt? All I saw was the military removing its backing of Mubarak due to international pressure brought to bear by the Muslim Brotherhood and replacing him with the current power structure.

Yeah, I agree, it's like when America decided to revolt for change... ****ing teabaggers.

What exactly are you complaining about?

Oh, you're bitching about a foreign and sovereign nation ending apartheid and democratically voting which way to take their country in. You seriously think South African trade unions and the ANC is worse then government led massacres against it's own people, torture, and racist policies?

I think you're the one with issues...
