Not totally accurate. True, women cannot become Freemason's unless it is some clandestine branch of masonry not recognized by the Grand Lodge. And it's true that in America, being a commie won't score you any points with most mason's, but neither will it disqualify you from becomming a mason. They do not ask if you are communist or not in the investigative interview.
Only two things will get you disqualified from entering the fraternity from the git-go. 1: Proclaiming atheism. 2: Having a felony on your record.
It just seems really old fashion that women can't join it... it doesn't seem right in this day and age.
