You guys crack me up. Reagan raised the debt ceiling 17 times in his 8 years. Does that make him a marxist-ist-ist-ist-ist-ist?

So we're through talking about who runs it and credibility and now on making money... were you a Washinton Times investor Petey?
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

Honestly it seems pretty clear at this point that the GOP wants to collapse the country so they can blame the Democrats... But I don't see how that could possibly work for them. Way too many people see right through it as the poll in the OP makes obvious.

Or maybe it's more of a mix. Some of them want to collapse the country, others are literally as stupid as they are acting... I dunno.

See that's the funny part... the country won't collapse.

Good grief. Ever occur to you that the Dems are trying to "collapse the country"? What makes the Dems correct in dealing with the issue? Seems all are playing politics.

I don't know man. The Democrats have been compromising like crazy, but the Republicans just walk away from the table no matter what the Democrats offer. They've offered $3 trillion in cuts with no revenues and they've offered $4 trillion in cuts with some revenues... But the Republicans still walk away. It's pretty obvious they don't want a deal at this point.
