Claiming the Republican agenda as his own

Well if Bush and Cheney did it.....obviously HusSame is going to do it.......but with great liberal rejoice this time.

.

That's such a sleazy attempt at insult by using Obama's middle name. Right out of the RW radio handbook. Rather pathetic.

For all your "respect" for the Founders you know nothing about them. They had the same arguments then about the power of government that we are today. The Constitution itself is a compromise document. The partisan rhetoric was worse than it is now -- remember how Alexander Hamilton died? He was shot by the sitting Vice-President in a duel! Jefferson's hatred of Hamilton was strong enough that he hired someone with no foreign language skills as a State Department translator so that he could eventually install him as the editor of an anti-Federalist newspaper (So much for unbiased media. Never existed, and never will).

Try learning some history to go with your partisan hackery. It might do you some good.

History points to the fact they were gun toting radical right wingers.........

Even in your denial you go right to Hamilton.......which only gives creedence to the fact.....for that is where Liberal's belief in the forefathers and founders begins and ends.

I'm sorry, I couldn't be buggered to read "propaganda" passed as intelligent discourse. FYI You cannot have socialism and democracy in the same country, the two are not congruent.

If by socialism you mean the SS and Medicare programs supported by our forefathers under both parties for the last 80 years, it has worked very well with democracy in this country. In fact those programs helped create the strongest middle class in our history! :sun

Yes. I am one of those who are Hamilton Haters, though, so I'm happy Burr shot him.

Thomas Paine was one who advocated for a program very much like Social Security, by the way, as you may already know.

Also, the original 13 states had no problems passing restrictive gun control legislation, which of course makes a lot of the right wing blather about the 'Founding Finaglers' look more than just a little ridiculous, since it's easy to find that information. Apparently their interpretation of a 'Militia' doesn't resemble the Libertarian and conservative claims much.

And for the record, I'm for concealed carry and all that personally, so spare us the usual canards and gibberish, please. Thanks.

You might want to dig up a dictionary and look up the word "forefather". Just sayin'. It will save you from future embarrassment.

If they were all politically to the right, there would have been no political parties. The fracturing into parties happened while Washington was still President. But they all agreed, which is why political parties happened.

Funny since Hamilton was a Federalist, generally regarded to have been the Conservatives of the time.

Conservatism in the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Intellectually, Federalists, while devoted to liberty held profoundly conservative views atuned to the American character. As Samuel Eliot Morison explained, They believed that liberty is inseparable from union, that men are essentially unequal, that vox populi [voice of the people] is seldom if ever vox Dei [the voice of God], and that sinister outside influences are busy undermining American integrity.

They were usually the leading businessmen of the day, also. Sounds like pre-Tea Party Republicans actually. And probably post-Tea Party Republicans too. Trust me, once the Tea Partiers are no longer politically useful to Republicans, they'll be cast aside like yesterday's garbage.

Nonsense......for 100% agreement was as rare then as it is today. Fundamental principles and values bring a party together........but its the minor disagreements that tear at the edges.

Again.....Hamilton is where the Liberal belief in the Founders and Forefathers begins and ends.........as they rarely mention anyone else. But even Hamilton, being the closest to a statist among them.....would by no means support the insane whack job Democrat Party of today.

"It's not tyranny we desire; it's a just, limited, federal government"

The leading businessmen of today support the Tea Party.......the most successful and intelligent among us.

Oh yea i forgot if its stuff you dont like or dont agree with we just throw out the word "propaganda" and play if off as all lies, but when its stuff that you like or agree with we play it off as 100% fact and truth...

FYI You cannot have socialism and democracy in the same country, the two are not congruent.
Uhh yes you can.... Socialism and democracy go hand in hand...

The leading businessmen of today support the Tea Party.......the most successful and intelligent among us.

Not true. They support raising the debt ceiling, the Tea Party favors allowing the economy to completely collapse.

But even Hamilton, being the closest to a statist among them.....would by no means support the insane whack job Democrat Party of today.

He didn't support them back then either. The Democratic Party of today was Jefferson and Madison's party. And Aaron Burr, who killed him.

Nonsense......for 100% agreement was as rare then as it is today.

I'm not the one who said they were all right wingers. That was you.

U.S. Business Leaders Urge Action on Debt Ceiling

"Now is the time for our political leaders to act," said a letter to President Barack Obama and every member of Congress that was signed by more than 450 business leaders and groups including the powerful U.S. Chamber of Commerce and a number of Fortune 500 companies.

Fortune 500 companies. Nobody there knows how to run a business.

Not true. They support raising the debt ceiling, the Tea Party favors allowing the economy to completely collapse.

.....the economy doesnt collapse if the debt ceiling isnt raised........but allowing Democrats to spend this country into oblivion surely does.

He didn't support them back then either. The Democratic Party of today was Jefferson and Madison's party. And Aaron Burr, who killed him.

Fine.....then we agree not one of the Forefathers or Founders would support the collection of left wing fruit loops that is the Democrat Party of today.

If Congress can employ money indefinitely to the general welfare,
and are the sole and supreme judges of the general welfare,
they may take the care of religion into their own hands;
they may appoint teachers in every State, county and parish
and pay them out of their public treasury;
they may take into their own hands the education of children,
establishing in like manner schools throughout the Union;
they may assume the provision of the poor;
they may undertake the regulation of all roads other than post-roads;
in short, every thing, from the highest object of state legislation
down to the most minute object of police,
would be thrown under the power of Congress.... Were the power
of Congress to be established in the latitude contended for,
it would subvert the very foundations, and transmute the very nature
of the limited Government established by the people of America."

----James Madison--Father of the Constitution--Conservative--Hater of Liberals

For without RW radio....the Founders and Forefathers wouldnt have known what to stand for....and against.

But not his INTENTIONS my willfully ignorant friend...........

Only because The Kenyan Tyrant isnt all the tyrant you wanted him to be..........

Of course you wanted him to snap his fingers and create a public option to nowhere.........of course you wanted him to close Club Gitmo with just a signature.......of course you wanted him to lower the seas with a wave of his hand.......of course you wanted him to raise taxes on the evil rich to 99%......

......well he did too.....but those damn seperate branches of government and The Constitution kept getting in the way.
