This UAW problem needs to have the Feds step in and demand everyone caught be fired and very UAW official also fired, and anyone who can be charged with a crime arrested.

How many lives do these people put at risk doing this?
I think what people here need to realize on both sides is demonizing the UAW and suggesting such things are accepted by the UAW is silly. I can't tell you how many people I've known in construction that drink on the job, making $350,000 houses, people in offices that drink (which usually if its in a office it is actually allowed), all the way down to of course your basic service job. It isn't so much of a union problem as it is, some people just like to be drunk or high regardless of politics, religon, race, sex, or how down low or high up they are.
"We’re going to close the unproductive tax loopholes that allow some of the truly wealthy to avoid paying their fair share. In theory, some of those loopholes were understandable, but in practice they sometimes made it possible for millionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying ten percent of his salary, and that’s crazy." -Reagan

Yes they do, but they arent the ones that got themselves caught on video...I have to agree with badmutha here...they are dumbass's especially after getting caught the first time....

...........a UAW BEER AND POT JAMBOREE took place almost everyday...........right outside the door in THE UAW PARKING LOT.......

Unless Stevie Wonder and Hellen Keller are the UAW bosses over there.......there really isnt a plausible excuse from the UAW.

Like all unions.......the UAW Protects Incompetence, Corruption, and Slobbery........its what they do..........

They build bombs at this plant then? Listen, those who were caught were already fired. Some have choosen to exercise their contractual privilege to appeal and have the Union represent them. But there's enough evidence that if clearly video taped they can still say "no, you're still fired". Those caught are basically using the appeal to beg for their jobs back; not to say "hey man, I should be able to be as stoned and drunk during work as possible".
You know the time is right to take control, we gotta take offense against the status quo

But you'll never find me defending them.

So you want gov interference at a private companies problem?

How many lives do these people put at risk doing this?
Honestly probably not as much as you think.
