Remember the job does not belong to you, it is provided to you by the company
Nah, there are many companies that would like to offer you the job but are unable to unless you are willing to give up your rights to associate with who would prefer.

If they are provided by the company, should they not be able to hire those who would prefer to not join the union?

You really don't get it do you? if it is wrong for employees of a company to engage in certain behaviors because it has been decided it is counterproductive to good work habits and the ability to perform ones job tasks - it should be wrong for the entire company - union and non union alike.

Good point. The higher ups do need to set the standard.

The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

Not if they signed a contract stating they will hire union members for those positions only

Again, a forced association isn't what we should wish for.

I like how slaves get wages.

    Wait..

I like how unions think weekends aren't a market force and the reason they didn't exist is because businesses are evil, other than it was cultural and the market adjusted accordantly.

It is not forced, you are not forced to work there. It is not your job, it is the employers job and if the employer has as a condition of employement that you are part of a union, you are free to choose to join the union and work there or not join the union and not work there

I could argue that all day but will instead note that it doesn't even always work that way.

These people want to work. There is no agreement for a union but yet the union goons are holding it up.

And that is for the employer to decide........

Chysler decided they dont want UAW Union slobs getting drunk and high everyday at work.......and while the UAW would seem to agree with that policy.....it is the UAW that comes to the defense of drunken stoned Union slobbery.

If there are business owners that decide their employees can drink and do drugs......thats their perogative.......but by no means justification for anyone else to do the same. Two UAW Wrongs do not make a right..........

But you're a socialist, so we expect it of you.
Also, we need to legalize recreational drugs and prostitution.
