You certainly are not forced to be part of a union

If a particular company is unionized, you are not forced to work there against your will, you can sell your labour to a different company that does not have a union

Remember the job does not belong to you, it is provided to you by the company

Actually you are incorrect. When your side does it, it is not considered a wrong at all but rather a cute little quirk of white collar society.

You seem to be blind deaf and dumb to the many posts here that have repeatedly told you that the same thing occurs on the management non-union side of the story.

Like some private restaurant which caters and depends on white collar office suits is going to allow such a thing. Get real.

Are you really trying to deny the three martini lunch? The guy next door to me runs his own small parts shop and spends a couple of afternoons a week treating FoMoCo execs and buyers in nudie bars in Windsor where he pops for all they can eat and drink....... and you would be surprised to what is on the menu.

None of those guys are union.

Well if Chrysler gave permission to drink and smoke weed on the job..........if the UAW encouraged drinking and smoking weed on the job.......you might have something approaching a point.

You can go into many of them on a work day during lunch and see the suits eating lunch and many consume several alcoholic drinks with their meal.

Of course, they are not unionized, so the fact that they are doing this does not make the news.
Good point. The higher ups do need to set the standard.
