Sorry....but it isn't Obama and the Democrats that are the ones that always want to cut medicare...its the Republicans. The GOP believes that if they line the pockets of the wealthy with the money they cut from medicare.....some it "might" trickle back down to the elderly.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Republicans were spending like crazy 10 years ago. They gave us record deficits (at that time), they repeatedly raised the debt limit to accommodate their increases to the national debt. Only now that we have a Democrat in the White House is debt a problem for them.

It certainly wasn't a problem for them as Reagan tripled the debt. They had no problem raising the debt ceiling 17 times to accommodate his spending.

And it certainly wasn't a problem for them as Bush doubled the debt. They had no problem raising the debt ceiling 7 times to accommodate his spending.

Republicans are largely to blame for the debt being as high as it is (60% of the debt came under Republican presidents) but it seemns to me they are now complaining about the mess they made in order to convince America that a Democrat in the White House is the problem.

That's exactly it. And that information was hammered into them ad nauseum by Faux News.

Exactly....the party of No, has no ideas, but they are certainly good at playing politics.

From the titles I know what they say. It's not my first day following financial news. It doesn't change the fact that dollar fell swiftly after the warning.

They don't take affect in 10 years. You are confused.
