The fact that the new teaparty congress is blatantly trying to stick it to the working class to give mOAR to the wealthiest americans...plus the new teaparty govs that have done nothing but wage a vicious assault on the working class in individual states....Does the far right teaparty truly believe that the 80% of americans that are not rich are simply going to just forget what Scott Walker, Pig Christie, Rick Scott and the others have done...do they really believe they are going to forget thats all the teaparty congress talks about is taking from social security, medicare and medicaid and giving huge tax breaks to corporations and the wealthiest americans <ryan> do they truly believe that americans are going to forget they want Seniors to pay 300 per person copay for medicare and then they just voted to continue to give SUPER RICH OIL COMPANIES that never lose a penny billions of our money in subsidies.....the teaparty is nuts..
It's hard to take any side seriously these days, to be honest. They are scrabbling over attempts to cut SS and Medicare, popular and successful programs that contribute ZERO to the debt and deficit and won't for at least another 20 years.

But on friday they voted to increase the "defense" budget? Unbelievable!

It's too bad we can't fire them all and start brand new. Sad thing is that with the wholly corporate owned SCOTUS, elections will now go to the highest bidder so it's not likely to get any better any time soon.

Im not against cutting some from SS and fixing medicare...Im totally utterly against this teaparty that just wants to bash the working class, strip them of everything they can and give tax cuts to their rich buddies...that is pure bs

NO, I didn't say that, this is News 2.0, how is an interview with a lobbyist "news"?

    Get with the program.
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

    Poisoning the well

    He does that alot.

Given how the Democrats have offered $2 trillion in cuts for a measly amount in revenue, if the Democrats can cast this as a Republican hostage taking, they can likely deal real damage to the GOP. What I'm not sure of is why the Dems aren't highlighting how the GOP voted in mass for Ryan's budget plan which largely does not erase the deficit or the debt and virtually all of the savings from cuts get eaten by tax reductions. Basically, Ryan's plan sacrifices the middle and lower classes on the pike of the rich tax cuts. He doesn't even reduce the deficit in any meaningful way. The dems could wave his plan around as proof of people you don't want in power.

    True, to a point.

Whoa. Did you say SS and Medicare don't contribute to the debt and deficit?
