Palin Plots Her Next Move

Why would Palin run, she's already got fame, fortune, and everything else from just being a tea party darling? Why run where you actually have to perform instead of criticize from the sidelines? I know she's the darling of many people, and I agree she takes a lot of undue flak but there's no denying she isn't Presidential material.

Because she likes the attention and the money... She has to relevant to keep her gravy train running.

How long can she wait to enter?

Your dog is a much better alternative than virtually all of the Republican alternatives (that might be nominated, anyway). At least when he opens his mouth, we all will understand him.

I agree that Obama is vulnerable.... but the Republicans have this big bazooka aimed at their foot (aka as the Tea Party) and are not afraid to use it. Just as in '10 (in Delaware, Nevada and Colorado, anyway), the party will put up a complete idiot as a candidate that surely will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The Republicans do not realize that the Tea Party is its worst enemy. Though the Republicans have some credible candidates (Romney and Huntsman, for example), the Tea Party tends to not like the credible.

You are wrong. Obama has failed and has nothing postive to run on. He can not win.

I agree with you BD. Palin is just a few months short of becoming irrelevant and her gravy train comes to a grinding halt. She badly needs to run for the nomination and get back onto the front page. I am a bit amazed how far and how fast Bachmann has come in just a few short weeks. And Bachmann is Palin lite. Palin could kick ass if she decided to go pedal to the metal and really go all out for this thing.

I, personally, am freaking scared of her. I'm scared of her star power. Everybody talks smack about her, and that's just it. Everyone talks about her. The threads about Palin on this site go 50+ pages. She COMMANDS attention from the media, good or ill, and with a good election campaign and a wizard of a PR manager, even I might find myself tempted to vote for her. It's all about sight and sound in elections and she- begrudging to admit- has a charm with the public. All she needs is a ventriloquist to speak for her and she's a formidable contender.

You mean the liberal media and democrats are infatuated with her

Nah, I'm pretty sure Makkam spoke their mind right there. Why would you presume to speak for them?

Does not matter Obama will lose. The economy and unemployment plus other issues will kill him. He has shown he is incompetent to run this country

Your comments are delusional. Keep drinking the Red Kool Aid.

No they are factual. With this country still in a recession like economy and unemployment high Obama will not win.

The liberal media is the trainwreck

Yeah, I know what you mean.

Generic Republican Candidate 46%, Obama 42% - Rasmussen Reports™

That is all very nice, except Generic Republican Candidate isn't running. Only guys with real names and real baggage are running. Romney, who can't get the Republican nomination, has a shot, the other ones are just a joke. Unless the Republicans nominate a moderate (and they won't], they are going to lose.... especially if they let the US default.

Oh so the left can run a left wing demogogue and the press will hide it, but the right hasnt a chance at that strategy? Cause lets face it, the press covered Obama's campaign as though he were a moderate. His past was left unexplored for the most part.

Because Obama is the most liberal President we have had. Id say even Palin only governed fiscally conservative and not so much socially conservative, never mind Huntsman, Pawlenty, Romney and Perry--should he chose to get in.

Romney and Huntsman are running into problems because the press hasn't really hit at them just yet. They are being covered favorably for the most part, with their ideas being talked about rather than examined or attacked. This won't last into general election time. This is also not endearing them to the most active portion of the GOP base, because right now favorable press coverage isnt a good thing.

God damn John McCain for bring this idiot woman from obscurity.

Obama the most liberal in history? I don't think you know your history. Obama may be the least liberal democrat elected president in 80 years. Sorry, but FDR, JFK, LBJ and Jimmy Carter were far more progressive in their philosophy and in their actions than Obama. Obama is a pragmatist, much more out of the Clinton camp. If he were so liberal, those on the left would be much happier with him.

....which is exactly my point, the very guys that actually have a shot in the general can't win in the semi-finals. Sorry, but America is not really a tea-party type of place as was clearly shown in Delaware, Colorado and Nevada last time around and in congressional races since. There isn't anyone that will be embraced by the tea-party capable of getting 270 electoral votes.

What with Congress' approval rating hovering around 18%, I think we can safely say that the tea party may have gotten in? But holy mother do we regret it!

A moderate? You mean a liberal. Wrong they need a conservative and they will win

Sarah Palin doesn't stand a chance against Obama.

What will Obama run on? The economy? unemployment? Obamacare? He has nothing positive he has done

No not at all

And yet he leads in all the polls. Funny, that.
