Sarah Palin: Is she spinning her record in Alaska politics?

And if the GOP isn't backing Michelle (beats me) then ... this could shape up to be a pretty interesting race.

Christmas may indeed arrive early this year.

I love the mentality that Obama is such a loser his only chance is that the Republicans nominate an even bigger loser that he can beat..... Christmas indeed.....

That mentality seems to be yours as nobody else expressed it. I favor Palin since it would be a repeat of Goldwater in 1964 and we would see massive GOP defeats all down the ticket. That is even more important than just an Obama which should come against any of the GOP pretenders today. Palin would just be the biggest GOP disaster outside of Ron Paul or Bachmann. Come to think of it, any of those three would be Christmas.

Shock -n- Awe, y'all! Rev just called Sarah Palin an even bigger loser than Obama!

I should make this my sig.

Go ahead. I keep telling you all I am not a Palin fan at all and would not vote for her under any circumstance.... So yes, you can put that in your sig as long as you include the previous disclaimer, I would hate for you to look like you were infering I was a palin fan.

Again, you are hoping to win by simply not losing... I have a higher standard for my candidates and my POTUS I guess.

And some one tries to change the topic by post 5. When you can't counter the topic, divert!

Why do you write stuff that clearly show you have not either read or comprehended the section of mine that you reprint?

Seriously dude, give it a rest. Trying to pick a fight with me daily is getting old especially when your buddy comes in with the other shoe.... Stop it already.

The post was in relation to the idea that folks want Palin to run so thier guy wins. "christmas comes early this year", was responded to in spirit of the topic at hand. Contantly whining that posters are taking topics off track when they are not, well shows you simply want to pick a fight.

Why would "christmas" come "early" if Palin got the nomination? Why do you need an "Early christmas"?

All that was explained to you in an earlier post - #6 - in this very thread this very morning. Perhaps the name Barry Godlwater rings a bell?

So you think a palin nomination would cause a sweep of democrats into office? In this economy? Really? :lamo

again, why can't democrats stand on thier policies, why do they need a Palin to win according to you?

she is running, bet on it....

Yet when I spoke with Palin, in a quiet conversation before she departed, she told me that all of the presidential chatter misses the point. She said that she enjoys being part of the national political conversation, but the idea that she needed to be in office to influence things is bunk.

“Being a private citizen, I think I am a good example for others to show that you don’t have to have a title, you don’t have to hold national or statewide office in order to effect positive change and make a difference,” she said. “The documentary encapsulates that — to be involved for the right reasons and challenge the status quo.”

But if Palin can stir whole towns to turn out for a film premiere, why not try to generate similar levels of enthusiasm for public policy as a candidate? “As a private citizen, you can effect change, too,” she replied with a smile. With that, she and her husband, Todd, jumped into a waiting sport-utility vehicle and zoomed away.

Sarah Palin,

You are aware that in the vast vast majority of American electoral contests there are at least two opponents competing for the same job and the citizen compares both and makes a decision both on the good points and the bad points of both?

The voters indeed will judge all candidates - both Democrats and Republicans by any measurement they deem is important to themselves. If you think that the opponent makes no difference and does not help or hurt the other persons chances I then urge you to do some research on past elections.

It's sad that one has to hope for a bigger loser so that thier loser wins... This is not the American way.

You got to be kidding! I have been in politics for forty years now and I have never seen a single politician on either side of the aisle hope for the strongest possible opponent in an election. That is simply not part of the real world.

btw - Obama is a WINNER. It was the other side who ended up the LOSER.

Maybe you are part of the problem.... I do Brazillian Jiu-jitsu, When I did a few grapplers quests I was all about taking down the biggest baddest strongest in my division. I don't want to win by climbing the easy ladder.

Perhaps if politicians acted on the same mindset we wouldn't have these weak kneeed scumbags and power grabbing fools we have today.

The "other side" is the American people... seriously though, there are worse options than Obama, Palin and Bachman would be lateral moves.

Have you read a single book on politics? Ever? Please quit bringing in your irrelevant experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to a conversation about politics. They're not even remotely similar. A win in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is static. A win in an election is active.

No....

Well does Obama's books count?

The mindset is.... If you want to choose between two losers you are part of the problem.

Comparing a political election contest to martial arts is like comparing apples to cinderblocks and complaining about chipping your teeth on that grey pie filling.
