Tracy Morgan offends again in latest stand-up

A stand-up comic using derogatory terms is "breaking news?"
 
I find this retarded. Some of the best comics are incredibly offensive. See Louis CK, Dave Atell, or Lisa Lamponelli. There is a such thing as being to PC, you sir are.

edit: Well, read the article. It just wasn't funny. He should apologize for that. People paid real money for to listen to that crap.

I am sorry if you believe it to be a person attack. However, do you want a comedian like Tracy Morgan to tell knock knock jokes? Would you propose we write about a list of things he is allowed to try out when he makes jokes?

I'm sorry, but this is ****ing stupid. Who cares? If you are offended by what he says, don't watch his comedy. We shouldn't be trying to censor and essentially castrate comedy because some people are offended by what is said. Some find offensive comedy to be hilarious, myself included. People all have different senses of humor. When we start getting into the realm of censoring people, it skirts dangerously close to violating their rights to free speech. People find different things offensive, and many who get offended forget that all important difference between satire and seriousness.

Not only that, but there are tons of comedians who make fun of mentally disabled people. Tons. The only reason this group is going after Tracy Morgan is because he's on a national tv show and they saw how much traction the previous group got when they were offended over his previous standup. I'm sorry, but who gives a ****? If you don't like it, don't watch it. Not everyone is as sensitive as you are, and they are able to laugh about it. It's really as simple as that.
 
Kali, he's using it for shock effect. It was beyond stupid, but it's also not any funny the way he used it.

People also laugh at Larry the Cable Guy and Gallagher. I don't mind when people use the word 'retard'. I grew up with people who were, I work with families with children who have mental retardation, but I don't get offended by it. It's just especially bad comedy. He used it cheaply to get headlines. Maybe you should stop being so sensitive about your taste in humor.

Exactly. To each their own. Everyone has a different sense of humor. While I don't find either of those comedians funny, I realize that others do.

What was funny was that, apparantly, people take it seriously enough to get all offended.

Tracy Morgan is comedian and he under a microscope now because he went after Gays, he can't help but screw up.

After all his mental sagacity is in question, and he's clearly slow on the uptake.

I wouldn't pay a dime to see most of today's comedians because they are mostly really stupid not funny and ar nasty and classless.

But Gallagher WAS funny. I loved watching "sledge-o-matic". Great satire.

Your probably right and actors, comedians and the lot all have their core audiences they apply their trade to and the 1st amendment also applies to these people.
 
But during his routine, things once again went south for the comic when he began telling the crowd not to "mess with women who have retarded kids."
