O on ATMs - Political Punch
» Obama: ATMs to Blame for High Unemployment - Big Government

Our economic illiterate.
He thinks businesses should take loans to make payroll... now this.

Frightening Big Government pap.

O: other thing that happened, though, and this goes to the point you were just making, is there are some structural issues with our economy where a lot of businesses have learned to become much more efficient with a lot fewer workers.
Z: You want people to create jobs? Then don't punish the owners. It's not difficult. You and your goons, or any goons can't get this done.

You see it when you go to a bank and you use an ATM; you don't go to a bank teller. Or you go to the airport, and you're using a kiosk instead of checking in at the gate. So all these things have created changes in the economy, and what we have to do now
We see whee you're gong with this. What you have to do now is set a fertile environment for Capitalism to grow. Low taxes, and get off our backs. We'll create the jobs if you let us profit from our risk, cleverness and/or pure horse **** luck.
-- and that's what this job council is all about --
JOB COUNCIL!!! How many have we had already? And how many trillion have your spent? JOB COUNCIL???

is identifying where the jobs for the future are going to be;
That ain't your job.
how do we make sure that there's a match between what people are getting trained for and the jobs that exist;
Ain't your job.
how do we make sure that capital is flowing into those places with the greatest opportunity.
Stop stealing our money... we know how, where and when to allocate money... thanks for your help, but **** off thank you, please.
We are on the right track. The key is figuring out do we accelerate it.”
Stop. Wrong track. No acceleration. Halt!!! Go in other direction.

The man is dangerous.

Actually businesses have been taking loans to make payroll for a long time now. It's called 'capitalism'.

Why is this soo scary and "dangerous"?

No, it's called, "stupidty", and any business that borrows money to make payroll, isn't going to last very long.

You realize that would include almost every startup.

And, within a few months, if they are still borrowing money to make payroll, they're going to go belly up.

Not necessarily. Many companies stay in the red for years before they start to pull a profit.

I guess the US Government is proof you can stay in the red. Why not? No one holds them accountable.

ATMs were merely one example of what he's talking about, and if you don't see that you're just blindly partisan. (and possibly stupid)

Obama didn't say "ATMs caused high unemployment."
Technology changes things. Companies can do more business with fewer workers than before. Downloadable media reduces the need for physical stores to sell that media. ATMs reduce the need for bank tellers.

There would be more jobs had the unions and government not artificially increased wages, had government not punished wealth. He missed that by a mile and it is the root problem. Obama, his policies and tone.

He's in a box. He has to blame something or someone other than himself for the mess we have.

Obama sounds like those that lamented the end of the buggy whip.

I think my order got mixed up. I wanted a reasonable debate, somebody else must have ordered the partisan nonsense.

What's nonsense? Your comment above by the looks of it. With so many targets... why not unravel one or two instead of the Captain Courtesy styled flame?

1. Unions and government artificially inflating wages?
2. Government punishing wealth creators?
3. Obama's tone and policies are not hostile to business?
4. He's not in a box when looking at 2012? Really?! He can't run on accomplishments, so what's left? Pity, attack others, say he needs more time?
5. He doesn't sound like those who lamented the loss of the buggy whip industry for putting people out of work?

Is Obama a Luddite?

Standard conservative tactic when confronted on a topic is to change the topic, preferably by throwing out as many unrelated points as possible to deflect the conversation.

The topic is Obama's statements where he mentioned ATMs. Obama did not "blame ATMs for high unemployment." I pointed that out, and then you attempted to change the topic.

And your CC styled flame was on topic?

He used it as an example of why things are so tough for him to create jobs. He isn't responsible for creating jobs, only the environment for them to be created. He's failed, is a failure, and it's no wonder as he's an economic illiterate.
