Do you think Justice Prosser should cop a plea? After all, what possible reason could Justice Bradley have for asking him to leave HER office. The attempted throttling soon followed.

<And it appears that the justice, whose unstable behavior and violent language has been highlighted in media reports, is willing to go to any length to protect Walker from legal accountability.>

<Sources with detailed knowledge of the incident initially told reporters for Wisconsin Public Radio and the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism, that Justice Prosser became angry during his meeting with Bradley. Following the report, court watchers spoke to numerous media outlets about the incident, which was the talk of Wisconsin as Governor Walker prepared to sign his budget Sunday.>

<As Justice Prosser grew more agitated during his meeting with his fellow jurist, Justice Bradley reportedly asked him to leave her office. At that point Justice Prosser reportedly lunged at Justice Bradley and grabbed Justice Bradley’s neck with both hands>

Probably not.

If I was a woman and a member of the Wisconsin Supreme Court and this jerkoff somehow escapes prosecution, I think I'd learn a few simple but devastating defense techniques like eye-gouging with a followup knee to the groin. Palm to break the nose, crush the larynx or busted eardrums...

The man is obviously trash and should be thrown out with the rest of the refuse.

Re: Wisconsin Governor Walker's Chief Judicial Ally Accused of Physically Attacking J

Why has this guy not been arrested and charged with assault? Aint taking chockehold on someone considered assault in the US?

Re: Wisconsin Governor Walker's Chief Judicial Ally Accused of Physically Attacking J

that's my question as well. if you assault a lady who wasn't threatening you, you should be arrested. Yet Prosser wasn't....

Re: Wisconsin Governor Walker's Chief Judicial Ally Accused of Physically Attacking J

If this information is true, he should be prosecuted and he should resign his post. He is unfit to hold the position he holds.

The New York Times now has the article

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/26/us/26judge.html?_r=3&hp

I wonder what is a worse act - the stupid stuff that Anthony Wiener pulled or an assault on a fellow Justice? I said that Wiener should have resigned. This is worse and merits a fast resignation also.

Chief Justice Bradley has come out to say that Prosser did indeed choke her and that he initiated the physical altercation:

Bradley says Prosser choked her - JSOnline

Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Ann Walsh Bradley issued a statement late Saturday saying that fellow Justice David Prosser choked her and disputing claims that she attacked him first.

"The facts are that I was demanding that he get out of my office and he put his hands around my neck in anger in a chokehold," she said. "Those are the facts and you can try to spin those facts and try to make it sound like I ran up to him and threw my neck into his hands, but that's only spin.

"Matters of abusive behavior in the workplace aren't resolved by competing press releases," she said.

"I'm confident the appropriate authorities will conduct a thorough investigation of this incident involving abusive behavior in the workplace."

Looking forward to his arrest and removal from the Bench. Knowing the current politics of this state, it's not guaranteed that either or both of those will happen.

I am not a Prosser supporter by any means, but there are two sides to this story. Prosser's version is that, during the heat of an argument, Justice Bradley charged him, and he put his hands around her throat in self defense. The agency that regulates judicial behavior in Wisconsin isn't commenting right now, and we won't know what really happened until they issue their statement on Monday. Until then, I have no comment on this.

Why does this not surprise me? It sounds to me like they're still mad that he got reelected.

"At least five justices, including Prosser and Bradley, had gathered in Bradley's office and were informally discussing the decision. The conversation grew heated, the source said, and Bradley asked Prosser to leave. Bradley was bothered by disparaging remarks Prosser had made about Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson. Bradley felt Prosser "was attacking the chief justice," the source said.

Before leaving, Prosser "put his hands around her neck in what (Bradley) described as a chokehold," the source said.

"He did not exert any pressure, but his hands were around her neck," the source said.
The source said the act "was in no way playful."

But another source told the Journal Sentinel that Bradley attacked Prosser.
"She charged him with fists raised," the source said.

Prosser "put his hands in a defensive posture," the source said. "He blocked her."
In doing so, the source said, he made contact with Bradley's neck."

Justices

But a different account of the incident emerged Saturday, and Prosser said the allegation "will be proven false." The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel quoted sources saying Prosser made contact with Bradley to defend himself after she charged toward him.

Details of the incident, investigated jointly by Wisconsin Public Radio and the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism, remain sketchy. The sources spoke on the condition they not be named, citing a need to preserve professional relationships."

"The sources say Capitol Police Chief Charles Tubbs was notified of the incident. One source says Tubbs came in to meet with the entire Supreme Court about this matter. Tubbs, contacted by WPR, declined to comment but on Saturday he told WPR he would issue a statement Monday."

Sources: Argument between Prosser, Bradley becomes physical

Good question CP. Short answer is because there appears to be more to the story...

Why didn't the other Judge, the throttled one call the police, and have him arrested on the spot?

To me, that's the biggest reason to believe there is far less, and more as it were going on here.

So Prosser's defense is the old "well, she kept hitting my fist with her face" bit? C'mon!

The wagons close circle to protect one of their own. The war on the working class needs warriors and if they pillage and rape occasionally, that is the price of war.

Uuhhh, no. The statements/quotes came from the other "sources" that were in the room. Prosser has offered no comments/specifics on what occurred during the event.

Probably because there were no witnesses and it's only hearsay. By the same token, Bradley could be lieing her ass off.

It's not illegal to show one's ass. If it were, most of the Democrats in the country would have already been charged with a crime.

What did they get away with, exactly?

Well, you already have Prosser convicted, after reading one article on the internet. Is this the Libbos version of due process?

Not really seeing any "wagons closing". If Prosser assaulted Judge Bradly he should be held accountable. And from Bradly's reputation, one would expect she would not shy away from filing charges if appropriate.

What seems more to be the case here is that the Left is so obsessed with any opportunity to proclaim guilt on Prosser that waiting for facts isn't necessary. Monday there will be an official statement released. Doesn't seem too unreasonable to me to wait for all the facts to surface. How 'bout you.....??

There were witnesses. In fact, Prosser appears to have flown off the deep end...again... in front oft he entire judiciary since the incident took place during a meeting.
