Michelle Obama: 'I can't stop eating French fries. But eat your vegetables.'

Hateful bitch is exactly what I thought of after reading this post. Tasteless, bitter and loathsome are some other adjectives that popped into my head.

OK, now back to Mrs. Obama...

Moderator's Warning:
Don't do this. Attacks on public figures is acceptable within the rules, attacks on other members are not.

Ms Obama is a waste of space I like not on thing about the hateful bitch, and I am sick to damn death of hearing that she is in anyway attractive. It took almost a few seconds to feel this way when I heard the bitch say she was never proud of America.

At that second I decided I would never give a damn about her, in return.

French Fries are part of a good diet, and I doubt seriously that any one in this forum knows as much about nutrition and diet as someone who once weighed 406# and managed to drop 170# in a little over a year.

BTW I did it by cutting out almost all food and replacing it with Bud Light.

Now I need a cigarette and a beer.

Buuuuuuuuuurp.

Impressive but that doesn't mean you understand nutrition. French fries are not a part of a healthy diet other than as a cheat meal.

Oh for **** sake

Maybe Mr. V likes subsidizing the healthcare costs of fatties?

I was initially on the side of "who the F is government tell us what to eat" then I understood how medical costs are paid and I changed my tune. You are totally free to kill yourself with bad food. You are not totally free to suck up huge amounts of health care dollars jacking up the premiums on otherwise healthy and responsible individuals and businesses. If my insurance premiums are going towards your irresponsible, COMPLETELY avoidable behavior, then the government should get involved with food.

oh noes.

she didn't call them freedom fries. she must be a socialist!

oh noes.

she didn't call them freedom fries. she must be a socialist!

Why are we calling them French Fries anyway... perhaps we should all them what they are... Belgian Fries... but then again, Belgium might not exist much longer...

Seriously, this is a stupid thread (hence the self-admitted stupid line above). The attacks on the First Lady are mostly over the top. Occasional munching and junk food is not a problem in an overall regimin of healthy eating and good exercise... Many people know about how to eat properly, but obvously many more in the US don't. We need to promote good eating and exercise in a positive way.

And for the member who claimed that he knew more than most about nutrition because he lost weight, you will be hard pressed to find people who are more serious and knowledgable about nutrition than serious, competitive athletes...

Why can't you have your cake, and eat it? What's the point of having an inedible cake? Who eats cake they don't have? Enquiring minds want to know.

There's nothing hypocritical about eating something which may not be 100% healthy for you and still saying people should eat healthy or be healthy. God I bet next we'll see a picture of the Obamas at their wedding and Mr. V, if he ever comes back to defend his own argument, talking about what a disgrace they are for daring to have cake at the ceremony. DONT YOU KNOW CAKE IS UNHEALTHY.

Now personally I eat like a slob, but the Army keeps me thin which is why I feel no guilt about this half eaten box of Frosted Flakes next to my desk I've been munching on all day. If I said to someone, hey if you want to lose wait you should exercise, would I be a hypocrite? Or I told someone that eating vegetables is good because it prevents scurvy, would I be a hypocrite even though its a absolute fact?

Well, as french fries go, McD's has the best, so long as the oil is fresh and the ff's aren't cold. Then yummy.. Anyway, given that, there's nothing wrong with her lovin fries. We all have eaten crapola that isn't good for us. I've tried eating sweet potato fries, thinking they were healthier for me, but they didn't even compare to real ones. They are just gross. Yuck....

Yah know what, I think the best fries in the FF industry at the moment are KFC fries, they use to have the second worse just above burger king but a couple of years ago they really picked their game up on fries, even has a little potato skin and everything... Burger kings might as well be fry shaped turd, i wouldn't be able to tell the difference

I can't recall ever eating KFC's fries. So I may have to try them sometime. But I have eaten Burger Kings and I don't like them. As I recall they have an odd flavor to them and must be the oil they are using.

KFC fries with gravy fantastic

Some coworkers when they were young would buy KFC gravy and McDonalds fries for the best of both

I considered returning, but the thread has filled with a great amount of silly, it's really not been worth my time.

Republican's get hammered for not being 100% Family Values, because as most of the people defending Mrs. Obama like to shout "Hypocrites!!!" When one of their own does the same thing... Imagine if a Republican said "I like sex with other men, occasionally I can't help it, but I won't vote for gay marriage" (Really, that's rather extreme but I suppose making a point to some folks around here requires over the top examples to drive home the point...)

Further more, it's not just the fries, it's the attitude, she's been pushing for Government to regulate what others eat, but won't follow her own demands. It's just algore screaming about global warming then buying a massive mansion and jet setting about the world...

What the hell are you talking about mrvicchio? she's not pushing for the Gov to regulate what people eat. She is trying to get people to take on healthy eating habits. There's nothing wrong with eating a healthy diet then having french fries once in a while. This whole thread is a complete retarded joke.

No it was just stupid to begin with.

You're equating a person who promotes healthy eating... To assholes that tell me who I should love or not, who I should marry or not, but turn out to be ****ing the page boy are the same? Talk about silly...

Further more, it's not just the fries, it's the attitude, she's been pushing for Government to regulate what others eat, but won't follow her own demands. It's just algore screaming about global warming then buying a massive mansion and jet setting about the world...

No it's not... Show me where anyone is trying to regulate what you eat? You have a slippery slope fallacy argument for just about everything, and if you're talking about limiting salt content in foods or other such things, Britain did it, and I'm still free there to go buy a big Mac if I want... No one tells me I can't.

The fact is you just can't admit that your faux outrage is ridiculous, you have a chip on your shoulder.

Actually you didn't want to return because you were getting your *** handed to you.

Republican's get hammered for not being 100% Family Values

Jesus boy. Do you ever leave your rock?

Republicans get hammered for pushing family values platforms while acting in ways that completely reject and pervert them. They don't get hammered for family values. They get hammered for massive betrayals of those values. Learn the difference. This should be obvious to anyone who went through a US election. Why you don't get it...well fake outrage?

because as most of the people defending Mrs.

I wasn't aware that Mrs. Obama was actually pushing an agenda to legislate morality into our legal code while actively betraying the very ideas she was pushing. The food plan does not say you cannot eat this or that. It merely suggests healthy guidelines as to quantities with a large dose of exercise...which by the way are entirely backed up by the Pentagon who has long been worried about the serious lack of fitness in Americans of service age. Mrs. Obama say the same stuff the Pentagon does and you find it suddenly offensive. You wonder why we don't take you seriously?

Further more, it's not just the fries, it's the attitude, she's been pushing for Government to regulate what others eat

Which honestly is not a bad idea considering the costs of obesity upon private insurers and those who pay premiums. I don't like my premiums going towards the medical care of those who knew not to eat like Jabba the Hut and got all sorts of diseases because of it. I don't like subsidizing irresponsible fatties. Maybe you do. Furthermore, the government has always regulated what others eat. The whole FDA labels on meat regulate what others eat. Inspectors preventing food processors from selling rotten, disease ridden food is regulating what others eat. Recalls regulate what other eat. Pasteurizing regulates what we can drink. I can go on and on and on.

but won't follow her own demands. It's just algore screaming about global warming then buying a massive mansion and jet setting about the world...

That may be, but Gore's fundamental message is not wrong. Unless you think that Co2 doesn't trap heat in which I have an experiment for you to try.

Sounds like it's time for you to leave the thread for good?

I used to agree til Wendys came out with their fresh cut fries w/sea salt. They are so damn good! If you have not tried em? Please do. They beat MickeyD's fries hands down to me:)

OMG! Those/KFC are so good! But they are not really FF. They are wedges so I do not count them as FF. BK's fries suck:(

I'll accept your apology now:

(Reuters) - First lady Michelle Obama has a message for the U.S. food and beverage industry: Take real steps to sell healthier products or the federal government will force you to do it.

Obama has taken on childhood obesity as her signature issue, and President Barack Obama appointed her head of the interagency panel he formed to study it. The resulting obesity task force delivered its 70-point plan on Tuesday for reducing childhood obesity within a generation.

"The report says in no uncertain terms, 'clean up your act or we'll take action,'" he said.

So that is OK?
