Rush Limbaugh launches his own brand of (patriotic) iced tea

Rush Limbaugh should launch his own brand of diet pills with American flags on the bottles.. maybe even stripe the pills in red, white, and blue. I think he would be doing the right thing for America and be setting a good example.

I'd like to see him get in front of the camera and do a little aerobic exercise, maybe tell fat Americans that they can do it too. What a great example that would be!

Hell do it too, just as soon as pigs fly, Hell freezes, and San Francisco goes Republican.

This might be a business opportunity for you. The Obama Administration is trying (unsuccessfully it seems) to encourage business and this is where you can fit in.

Rush Limbaugh is already employing many people, paying a lot of money in taxes, while you're sitting at a computer wanting him to do more.

Why not do something yourself instead of asking others?

I don't have the name recognition that Rush and Michelle have. Moreover, I lack the weightiness of the former.

Get back to us when you dig up the conviction. Looks like we have amateur debate hour going on here. You got a problem with him selling tea, tell about it. Otherwise you're off topic.

Oh my. The Rush love is getting thick.

Actually many people do recognize your name.

You should give it a go. Time to show the stuff that made California what it is today!

I'd still need weightiness, and a camera. I could post my exercise regime here, of course, but no one would believe me anyway.

Sweatin to the National Anthem with Rush Limbaugh

Wouldn't you love to see that?

Good Lord, no. Regardless of politics, there are some people that I do not want to see in tight fitting clothes. Rush Limbaugh is at the top of the list. Don't make me list Democrats, because that just makes me think of Al Franken in a leotard (shudder).

The Tea Party is a grassroots movement. They should show that by brewing their own tea at home.

WTF is this thread about?

How can there be 400+ posts about a brand of tea?

the tea party is a grassroots movement, that Limbaugh is making a million of dollars by putting his face on it and milking them... grassroots my ass

I'm not sure I follow - is there some connection between the "Tea party" and Limbaugh's new tea brand?

You think he isn't trying to appeal to the tp with his patriotic labeling? Everybody else made the connection...

It appears he is trying to appeal to people on a patriotic basis - but that by no means limits it to the "tea party" exclusively, just because it's tea...

Actually, I've never seen one of these labels...hmm.

Hmmmm....

I think it's an obvious appeal to the tea party...

He is even dressed up in TP rally costume on the bottle...

It's possible, but why focus on one specific market when you could be focusing on a wider one?

There's a TP rally costume?

To be fair, I haven't paid much attention to the maneuverings of the tea party recently - is it still a collection of separate groups, or is it one entity now?

Here is your tp rally

and why compete with Lipton and Nestea, when he could go straight for a niche market? It's a marketing strategy in itself.

Hmm...It's a possibility.

However that costume he's wearing on the bottle could simply related to the play on words in the title and it's related history.

Or for that matter, both.

The tea party "costume" is a pair of kahki shorts, a t-shirt and some sandals. At least, that's what most people wear to the party. :)

SO obvious that it doesn't even need to be said.

Of course it's targeted to the tea party. The tea party is Rush's audience. If he wanted to appeal to Obama supporters, he'd have dressed up like this...

Rush Limbaugh is a tea bag that just looks like a person.

I would think that the smarter tea partier's out there would disagree with your generalization that they all listen to Rush Limbaugh. If you listen to limbaugh for anything other than laughs then you should probably just give up on life.
