O noes!! Now Boehner is a slacker, too!!

WASHINGTON, June 15 (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama and Republican leader John Boehner will hit the golf course on Saturday with many hoping that over 18 holes they can knock Washington's troubled debt limit talks out of the rough.

Obama and Boehner, Speaker of the House of Representatives, will play golf together for the first time and discuss how to reach a deal to raise the country's $14.3 trillion debt limit by Aug. 2 to avoid the first default in U.S. history.

U.S. presidents have been playing golf with friends and foes for years. They often find it a good way to talk candidly and -- between putts and drives, shanks and hooks -- unearth some common ground, apart from divots.

Obama has played more than 70 rounds since becoming the "Goof off in Chief."

Bush played only 4 times in 8 years, in part because lgerals and the media gave him a ration of shtuff for playing in 2003, because it was too close to 9-11.

Bur it's okay for Obama to play more than 70 times while we have troops being killed in two Wars.

I could see it if nothing was wrong with the economy, the job market, and the Wars but this is to be expected of Obama. He is the one who spent hundreds of thousands of dollars of tax payer money for one night on the town in NY last year, and tens of thousands to fly in a pizza cook for lunch. I could go on but it would just piss off the Lberals, because they don't want hear the truth about der fuhrer.

It seems that you're under the misunderstanding that when liberals correct you that you think it's just them being pissed off, when in fact it's just them correcting you.

So you would rather this man be in the White House working.... when you don't like the work he does? Honestly I'd of thought you'd be overjoyed every time he takes a little break or at least does some business outside the office.

Yes I would like to hear thay the "Bumbler in Chief" is working instead of goofing off playing golf or going on vacation on our dime.

I swear Obama and wife have been acting like welfare recipients that just hit the lotto.
 
Frankly I wish that there would be MORE of these bipartisan outings. I think that our government functions better when most officials know and are friends with officials of the opposing party. Obama and Boehner is a start...but there really needs to be more golf (or other similar events) between congressional Republicans and congressional Democrats, so that they actually associate with one another.

Bush hardly golfed at all! They didn't have golf at the ranch he spent more time at than any president in the history of presidents. *stats inclusive of his Camp David time*

The news story for this event has now appeared in papers across the United States.....

Taking a tip from departing congressman Anthony Weiner yesterday, President Obama staged a photo op in which he showed a Boehner. And yes, pictures were taken.

"Okay John, if you win the round we will cut taxes by x%, but if I win then you tell Paul to keep his hands away from y."
