I believe that most people unless they have become fundamentalists, radicals of joined Islam there is little chance of Religion have too much to do with the office.

The Constitution if applied and adhered to should make sure of that.

Either way...Christian belonging to a church for 20 years with a race baiting pastor or a committed Muslim...why dont democrats lose their minds when Clinton signs DOMA or Obama states he believes that marriage is between one man and one woman?

Did his religion come into play as governor?

Well, he supported a ban on same-sex marriage, but supported civil unions. He was pro-choice as governor, but has now had a "change of heart" is passionately pro-life.

This thread is making me think of Rick Perry and his day of prayer.

so you're saying there are no "pro-life" atheists? what does abortion have to do with religion?

Thats why I wouldnt vote for him on a bet. It has nothing to do with his religion (hey...democrats...Harry Reid is a Mormon...where is the outrage?). I'm only concerned that his positions change based on what is required to win election.

Yeah, he does seem to change a lot. His stance on marriage hardened during his governorship as well. I'm interested to see what he says in debates about that because he fashions himself as a somewhat moderate, practical politician, but I could see him becoming something completely different once he gets the position.

Did he rent out Reliant Stadium and invite Governors from around the nation?

And accept a sponorship from one of the most right wing religious groups there is, the AFA.
