What do you think? Do you believe him when he says he wants to keep his religion and his job separate?
I would most certainly like it to be true.

he should. All presidents should. Our religion may guide our morals and our view of things, but the preisdent represents more people than just those who have the same religion. And very few have actually governed from a religious perspective. Maybe Carter, but no one else.

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.

I'll be honest...when I saw you had posted I thought it was going to be some railing assult on Romney. I was pleasantly surprised.

I may disagre with Romney on a few things, but this is not one of them. I have voted republican in the past.

I prefer this Boo to the normal Boo. Not the voting so much, but the civility.

I try to match what I get. Maybe you caught me when dealing with someone else.

It's possible. I'm not opposed to voting for the main party candidates if they have someone very good up for running. They normally don't though. For Romney, I still don't really have a good sense of him. But if he's serious about separating out personal religion from the job of a politician, I think that's a great step to start at. He could be very good, but as I said I have a hard time getting proper sense of his platform and goals.

I think the best people everywhere are lost early on. I think the horse race and beauty contest nature of our system doesn't make it easy to get and keep good people. We also have a system today that encourages our candidates to say as little as possible, so platforms and goals are mostly vague.

    I like Romney

He is principled, a good administrator, definately has business/economic sense, and generally appears pragmatic in most things

Funny how it's only okay to ask Republicans about their religious beliefs and churches.
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.
