And yet how many anti-gay marriage democrats get called out because of their beliefs?

if they want to foist their personal, religious beliefs on the citizenship, then they should be called out.

Are they pushing for a Federal Marriage Amendment?

I just saw this. The pro-life movement is primarily religious. Asking me what abortion has to do with religion is a ridiculous question for anyone familiar with American politics.

I have to correct this statement. Obama was against gay marriage, but he's now for it and against DOMA, so he and Romney are now separate on the issue.

Not many because I don't think many are against it and I would assume those who are against it don't think it's that important because we never hear from them. That said, when Obama was running for office he did, in fact, take a lot of heat from gay organizations for his stance.

Could we start a forum group to stop this nonsense? Something like... The "I think it's a person" Group. Or AAA (atheists against abortion), but that's exclusive of those coming from the same idea.

Look, most pro-lifers are religious but religion is not the base of considering it a person. This is like saying that the anti-anything is a religious movement, because most of those in the group are religious. You can't just dump it on religion like that, declare it baseless and crap all over anti-abortion atheists. Hating religion doesn't solve moral dilemmas.

I was very hostile towards religion not long ago. Now I take it metaphorically, enjoy and learn from it.

like you said, most pro-lifers are religious, so i'm not sure what the problem is. moreover, my original comment was about Romney's new pro-life stance being connected to religion. i'm sorry if people have a hard time accepting that religion may have influenced his views. this isn't a negative or positive, it's a very neutral statement.

i hope you're not accusing me of doing any of this. if so, this is an unheard of amount of projection onto my post.

good for you. i personally have never been hostile towards religion.

Surely the person who doesn't capitalize anything isn't talking to me about grammar.....

And the "mistake" would be spelling, not syntax.

    Moderator's Warning:
Romney: "If You Want to Learn About My Church, Talk to My ChurchThe topic, is not grammer nor spelling. Both of you knock it off.

Yes, I did do that intentionally.
