Absentee college voting represents a possible large scale election fraud process whereby college students vote in their college state or district and their home state or district at the same time. OR, their names are used to perpetrate that fraud.

Someone needed to just say it.

If they don't think it's difficult... why do you?
that does not take away that this is another jim crow-like hurdle imposed on a segment of the electorate

nonsense. If that were the case, there would be evidence of past abuse. I've not seen any. Have you?

Come now. I am in their boat, and I do not feel like this is Jim Crow.

Nope, two reasons. We dont verify enough and different states and districts not only dont compare voter rolls enough, they dont compare actual votes enough. Go talk to your voting board ask them how much they verify with other counties or districts or states.

Yes.... and by damnit its a blatant attempt by Democrats to keep young military members from voting because heaven forbid they have to fill out an absentee ballot!!!
"I condemn the ideology of White Supremacy and Nazism. They are thugs, criminals, and repugnant, and are against what I believe to be "The American Way" "
Thus my obligatory condemnation of White supremacy will now be in every post, lest I be accused of supporting it because I didn't mention it specifically every time I post.

Military voters do not generally have the ability to vote, unlike a college student who can go to a poll.

As proven by your own source, it is not a struggle, it is quite easy and the vast majority of college students already vote by absentee ballot.

How can there be an attempt to supress young voters, by requiring the ones on college to do something 90+% of them ALREADY do?

With every post, your FAIL is greater and greater.

far better that the uninformed and self-absorbed remove themselves from the franchise rather than we have to live with the consequences of their poor decisions.

And here we go again. The Cons get all up in arms when you accuse them of trying to disenfranchise people, then start coming up with lists of who they think should be disenfranchised. Most of which comes down to "people who voted for Obama."

You're so stung by the fact that 52% of the electorate voted for him, that you're trying to rationalize any way possible that he "didn't really win." That's what the whole birther thing was about, right? Now that's over, so we get "Well, these people shouldn't have been able to vote! If you don't count their votes, Obama loses."

If we disenfranchise the stupid, then who's going to vote for Michele Bachmann?

He won, get over it. He won legally, or at least as legally as some others have won (Rutherford Hayes jumps to mind). Better luck in 2012, and if your candidate is halfway decent, I just might vote for him this time. I might not, that remains to be seen. Regardless, I'd like to see everyone vote. I believe in democracy, even when I don't care for the results.

Stop being an asshole. By requiring them to use absentee ballots, obviously this is a hassle and the ones who would have normally gone out to the poll will not vote because of that. And don't ask me for a source on that, because it's pretty obvious.
