He'll be gone soon enough... women he found on "Facebook". He lied to the media, staff, his wife, but no resignation ... I guess lying to the public is just too easy.


How can a person be respected after something like this - professionally - in the Congress...

His not resigning is even greater damage, and is further compounded by the fact Pelosi knew and didn't twist his arm to get the hell out of Dodge.

Considering the district, even due to this scandel he'll probably get re-elected without a problem. His aspirations to be NY Mayor may be out of reach, though.

The recent photo of him (allegedly) with his shirt off is nothing to be ashamed of as he has some good definition in his pecs. My advise would be to own the pictures, indicate they were sent to folks privately, and then begin apologizing to his wife (providing she did not know about his online flirting already).

Why should he resign?
This was a personal issue not a public governing issue...
 
It was so frustrating trying to figure out how to poke fun at this I wanged my head on the desk.
 
I don't live in his district but I live in NYC and from people I know who live in Brooklyn and Queens he is a great rep and they still want him. Actually a poll was taken today and something like 56% still want him onboard (his district).
 
Weinie is staying for now. In time, he'll leave. He has no future, as 'Anthony Weiner'. The reinvented Weiner will be 180-out from what he is today. That version will probably fail, miserably.

I only ask one question, when we ask or expect so little of those running our country, how are we to expect anything more of the people in it??

I would ask how come some of the Republicans calling for Weiner's resignation also supported Vitter's reelection.
