Tornado in Houston, or maybe a strong microburst.

May have just had a small tornado here. Bedroom window was blown in. Wife and I are OK. A few tree branches down, and a couple of nearby A/C units ripped open. Area lost power for about half an hour. Most windows on second and third floor of old folks highrise next door blown out. Firetrucks and ambulances headed just west of here. I hope that's a false alarm.

Lots of minor breakage in the neighborhood, but no major damage. However, the storm almost caused a little water damage to my pants. LOL.

Weatherman is on, and says that it was not a tornado, but a microburst. He also gave the high today at 105, which beat the old record for this date by 7 degrees. This is going to be a monster summer.

Wow, sorry about the damage, but glad your family is okay.

The weather is crazy this year. We had 3 confirmed tornadoes here in NoCalif last week, and right now my NoCalif county is under a tornado watch. Surely this is the end-times!

I've experienced one of those. Sometimes you can have an increase in temperature of about 20 degrees in a matter of seconds during one of those. Strange phenomenon.

    Glad you're okay.
