Where as I am not in the least bit supportive of this tactic, I do find it amusing that they chose the fox noise machine to do it to.

Most news station headquarters in New York have building-spanning tickers blasting the breaking news of the day to the street. And recently, some resourceful soul decided to bring the real "fair and balanced" reporting to said ticker, hacking into the mainframe and broadcasting the truth. Some other people with a video camera took the train up to Rockefeller Center to capture the magic, which in all-caps displays such items as "Our country is not broke" and "We are being lied to." Check out the video:

Yes, we're swimming in money, I tell you! SWIMMING IN IT!

as an attorney I note that some crimes are punished far more heavily than I believe is either logical or fair. example-crack cocaine possession.

one area where the penalties are far far too lenient is computer hacking and creating malicious viruses. I would far rather see a hacker get a 5 year minimum sentence in a USP than some inner city youth with a nickel bag of crack

Sign hacked to spew partisan hackery. Awesome.

Depends on what they do when they hack. Nobody got hurt, and as far as we know, they didn't steal any of Rupert's money. No harm, no foul as far as I'm concerned.

It was just trading one version of partisan hackery for another.

Really? 'Cause what I saw before the switched over was a bunch of headlines and announcements.

Everyone is at risk now with China and others going after all they can glean from the Internet.

More security software warns me every couple of weeks that it stopped an attempted attack.

I'm pretty sure it's not from the Chinese but there are people out who do this for fun while still others do it for profit, and Political types I believe do it for misinformation campaigns, to see what they can get away with.

Weiner is currently trying his hand at Obama's specialty claiming he was hacked, and if you believe him you must be really stupid.

Because Fox is actually fair and balanced? C'mon, you're not that dumb. For one thing it showed like 20 seconds before it switched.

Personally, I really don't see a point in getting my panties in a wad over Fox or any other media's bias. They all have a perfectly good right to say what they want. Media bias is nothing new, that's where you get newspapers called the "Democrat and Chronicle," or the "Sunday Republican" (Rochester, NY and Springfield, MA respectively). Somewhere along the line, somebody got this idea that the media should be "un-biased," when it never actually has been.
