I won't be asking if I can avoid it. As I said, my life is my responsibility.

He should be ashamed and so should anyone who votes for him ever again!
Does any politician actually care about any of us? I'd venture to say not bloody likely. They're all out for their own personal gain and party favor; that's it. That being said, it's sickening that the government will not respond to the needs of the People. They didn't say any of this when they took all our money and gave it away in bailout packages to the banks and hedge fund jerks. But when we need a little help it's different. This highlights exactly what I've been saying. The government is not here for us or our rights and liberties. They work for the new aristocracy, that's who they care about, that's who they bail out. I mean for ****'s sake, is New Orleans even rebuilt in full? Common folk...go **** yourself.

Jesus, for the 213425345634th time...Nobody said Joplin wouldn't get or would have to wait for funds. Cantor said that Joplin will get funding, and the costs of that funding will be offset by cuts from other areas. He's saying, "we're paying for this responsibly". And that's a good thing. This is reactionary, emotional crap at it's best. If Harry Reid had said it verbatim, would you still be freaking out, calling for his head on a spike?

Since when does the government do anything "responsibly"? It's just double speak

I've learned my lesson. I'm not arguing ridiculous comments anymore. This isn't an argument, it's an emotional piece of text vomit.

Ikari isn't a bad guy, just way to jaded and vested in being a "libertarian".
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

I hate probably 80% of liberal ideology. I think it's bad for the country. But I don't hate liberals. They honestly think (or so it seems) that their methods are best. But emotional generalizations and baiting attackings against the opposition are pointless. Avoiding reality specifically so you can blame the other guy? Also pointless. Not that Ikari is as guilty of the last, but plenty are.

You aren't putting it into context. All republicans want to destroy social programs. The money would be taken from programs like Food Stamps. This is why people are like "wtf"

Do you have an article linking to the food stamp cut specifically to pay for Joplin?

Further, would you not agree that our entitlement programs are 33% of our budget, and therefore a significant part of our debt, as well as completely unsustainable in their current state? Destroying and reshaping are two entirely different things. We can fear-monger and hyperbolize the situation all we want, but it won't make those statements reality.
