Perhaps there are some folks on the right that support banning Leftist networks and websites, but I haven't seen it. I have seen Leftist try to push through The Fairness Doctrine, which is a veiled shot at what the moron in the following vid is promoting... not for websites, but airwaves.

Contrary to the moron in the vid, I want leftists to tell us what they think... openly and honestly... precisely as the moron is doing.

I also want Leftist politicians to do like-kind... a'la Kucinich. Let us know what you truly believe... for the good of the nation. Don't hide you true intentions... broadcast them loud and clear as Obama had a few times per accident... via the slip-up, and thinking his views were cloistered from the public... for we cannot count on the Media Matters styled journ-O-lists to report accurately and aggressively.

He talked to what? A total of like 6 people in that video?

IT"S ALL LIBERALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not to mention the fallacy of claiming "DC Liberals Sign Petition to Ban Conservative Websites" without establishing the political lean of the participants of the video...

Talk about intellectual dishonesty.

First... I stand corrected. The guy was a plant with the goal of exposing morons... and succeeded.
After hearing news the other day that the Obama administration had appointed a new position to monitor and push back against negative online press we thought some liberals in DC might think it wasn't enough. So we sent Joe Schoffstall out to see just how far liberals would go to silence conservative speech.

He talked to what? A total of like 6 people in that video?

IT"S ALL LIBERALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who said it was all Liberals?

But we do know Libs with the power to write laws would like to see The Fairness Doctrine implemented either overtly or clandestinely.

ROTFLOL... OK it was Bush supporters who were up to this. I think the political lean was fairly well established.

Talk about intellectual dishonesty.
LOL... what's dishonest about exposing Libs for who they are?

Do you support The Fairness Doctrine?

Well then what was the purpose of showing us this video?

This video has absolutely nothing to do with the fairness doctrine.

What does this have to do with anything?

Once again you're being fundamentally dishonest, this video has nothing to do with the fairness doctrine, it doesn't expose liberals in anyway shape or form for who they "are" considering the participants of the video were not established to be liberals, this is just another boring, hyperpartisan, dishonest thread of yours to go at liberals. Your message is incoherent and you had no point to begin with.

oh tell me the story of how you became a conservative again, it hasn't been quite beaten to death yet :coffeepap

We are supposed to think this one guy is a liberal? Color skeptical, it seems to me that right wingers are gullible enough to buy this crap. :lamo The video and graphics are great, my hat is off to the producer.

I'm assuming this guy is not for real, and this whole video reeks of entrapment and selective editing. However, that said, there were certainly some signers who said some pretty messed-up stuff and will probably regret it when they look back on the video.

As much as I despise hate-talking partisans from both sides, I don't support flat-out banning such speech. I do support writing to FOX and MSNBC and every other organization that employs them and encouraging them to stop supporting such disgusting points of view, however.

This is what passes for right wing investigative journalism intended to raise the outrage of the True Believers? No thanks. At least this phony did not have his pimp outfit on.

DP conservative post bogus video and lies about liberals.. Have we seen this before.. Yes.. The rowdy Wisconsin protestors that Fox News filmed in some back lot in California.. Fox might have got away with it, if it weren't for the Palm trees.. Of course the real question is.. How many Fox viewers were smart enough to know that Wisconsin doesn't have Palm trees??

The petition to end women's suffrage got more signatures.

Just sayin.

this guys a hero

On an unrelated topic, I cannot ****ing stand it when people say "Just saying"

We know you are just saying BECAUSE.... YOU.... JUST.... SAID.... IT.

WTF is the point of adding "Just Sayin"!!! to something?

So basically, what this means is that this is the new democratic party platform since a few idiots in DC said so during a walk up interview?

... to add a bit more on the subject of selective editing, you know that I could walk into conservative populated areas and find at least some people who support the death penalty for homosexuality or nuking x (China, Middle East, etc). Then all I would need to do was omit footage of conservatives who remonstrated such point of views and I could create that executing homosexuals or nuking countries we have troubled relations with was a common belief among the right.

This thread is an example of zimmer's self-ownage. Because of his absurd desire to attack liberals at all costs, HE was fooled into believing that the guy in the video was a liberal. If there was any question as to whether zim is a hack, this seals the deal.

We know you are just saying BECAUSE.... YOU.... JUST.... SAID.... IT.

WTF is the point of adding "Just Sayin"!!! to something?

To bring more attention to what was said.

Just saying.

A serious way to handle this problem is take the term 'News' away from any news site if they so choose to pass off opinion or commentary as news. The total broadcasting must contain 80% news programs/stories in order to use that name. If both news and opinion are used, then both must be used in the station name.

All news must follow a strict reporting format that is empty of charged terms. It must be stated in an organised way based upon the subject matter, not in a selective way that pushes insignificant points out of context of significantly related points. The name News or Commentary/Opinion must be clearly seen on screen during the entire broadcast. Violation of this format would be cause for fines, as it is a misrepresentation of the product being sold or given in mass to the public. A public display of their point violations would broadcast on their station as the show is running. Fiction has a rating system, now why not non-fiction?

It also could test for symbolic logic and conclusion for story coherency. A thesaurus could be used to help link terms from statement to statement.

If a station falls below 80% too many times, then they loose the name news for a suspended period.

A website would tally the level of charged terms any news source made as well as other scales of objectivity. Simple computer programs could be made to test for this. Viewers could view a integrity rating based upon that rigorous criteria. Maybe someday we could watch this integrity rating in real time as a politician speaks.

This would be a great thesis for a university student. Possible make them a millionaire if they do a good job. I bet there were people that said they'd never put a label on food. Why not information?

It is intended to mean "don't take it personally." I'm "just saying" or stating a point, don't take it as anything more than that. Just basically means only in this context. Like "just a scratch."

Gee... if you want to micromanage the airwaves, perhaps we could have a similar rule for music television... MTV would have to change its name, too...

You know what I'm sayin'?

Just Sayin'.
