    Taliban raid triggers Pakistan shockwave

It took 16 hours to regain control of this facility from 6 Taliban. Cam you imagine what might have happened had there been 20 or 30 Taliban?

This really tells a sad story about the ability and professionalism of the Pakistan military to repell attacks.

The brazen attack on a Pakistani naval air base has sent shockwaves through the nuclear-armed country, raising concerns about the militaryís ability to protect sophisticated weaponry.

The ease with which six Taliban militants stormed the PNS Mehran base in Karachi, close to the cityís busy commercial airport, and destroyed two newly US-supplied P-3C Orion maritime surveillance aircraft has unnerved Pakistanís military establishment.

That was a good thing not long ago.

    1. Pakistan army is volunteer. They are not conscripts, in the Euro tradition (and even practice today).
    2. They don't know freedom so well, and thus they lack ideological ferver against the enemy.
    3. Give them our training, and then see.
    4. Give them our gear, intel, evac and other support and watch them be brave too.

I don't think we need to crap-talk fellow volunteer soldiers. I do it here "in the family".
