AP Exclusive: Former Palin aide pens tell-all

So you woke up and decided you want to fight with me again.

Split hairs with some other less suspecting opponent as even Stevie Wonder can see you coming on this one.

No fight man, Just refuting your claims.

No fight man, Just refuting your claims.

What is it exactly that you believe you have refuted?

I told you I read her book. And then you want to get all "on which date and at what time did you read which book and could you pass a 567 question test on it".

Its just you wanting to fight.................... again.

Hmmm lets see... there's no evidence that Obama was born in Kenya.... there's plenty of evidence suggesting Palin quit to take advantage of others offers.... after she quits... she gets book deals, tv shows and speaking engagements... none of which she would have had if she had remained governor... well wadayaknow...

What evidence is there that palin quit to take advantage of offers?

About the book, she had that deal while in office and got the ok from her state government to write and sell her book and as well as tour. As for the other two,she has every right to make money (that she lost thanks to those false ethic complaints) if the offer is out there but all your little assumptions are just that and not fact.

The hits jus keep on coming.

Palin launching multi-city tour amid 2012 buzz – CNN Political Ticker - CNN.com Blogs

CNN has learned that Palin has quietly laid the groundwork for a nationwide tour, beginning this weekend in the nation's capital, that will once again thrust her into the national spotlight as she decides whether to seek the GOP nomination. Billed as a "One Nation Tour," the multi-city journey will take the former Alaska governor to a series of historical sites along the East Coast "that were key to the formation, survival and growth of the United States of America," a Palin source told CNN. Other stops may be added along the tour, which is primed to garner a flood of media attention thanks to the slow-starting presidential race.

The tour will begin over Memorial Day weekend, during Sunday's Rolling Thunder rally in Washington, an annual pilgrimage of bikers to honor fallen soldiers and prisoners of war. News of the tour comes as speculation about Palin's presidential intentions reaches fever pitch. After remaining relatively quiet throughout the spring, Palin recently rehired former advisers Jason Recher and Doug McMarlin, CNN has confirmed.

man, but this has been a great couple of days for political news.

No fight whatsoever sir.

You said:

He will get my money as I will eagerly purchase this book.

then you said:

And each potential customer will make his own decision. I have little doubt that based on what we have heard to this date, my money will be well spent and I will learn a great deal which will be helpful to me as an American citizen who someday may be faced with the name of Sarah Palin on an election ballot.

Then you said:

I will buy his book. One can never have too much knowledge.

to which I asked you if you bought Sarah Palin's book. You responded you sped read it in the library, I then informed you there where two books. You have only sped read one of then. What I have shown simply, is that your eagerness to purchase and read about Sarah Palin is directly related to the bashing level of sarah palin of said materials.

now that you have come out of retirment, will you be "eargerly" buying the one you haven't read?

ain't it the truth

no lets just take folks at face value, my bad.... I salute our gay sex having crack smoking, muslim kenyan president.

Troll much?

I didn't blame either. I merely said sooner or later the truth will come out. That truth could either mean that Sarah Palin didn't violate ethics laws or the author imbelished. Either way, if there is any truth to what the author writes about we'll know it in time.

Troll much?

not at all. my apologies if I offended you with my demonstration.

how many times do you all want to try her? didn't they already find she did not commit ethics violations?

Again, I'm not challenging her credibility at all. I'll leave that to others who truly have distain for the woman. Will I support her? No. But I'm not challenging the accuracy of the information contained in the manuscript in question any more than I challenged her writings. I'm merely saying anyone interesting in reading her former aide's book will have to base his or her assessments on their own merit.

As for her legal issues, I don't know if they ever got resolved. I just know they all seemed to vanish once she left the governorship.

Poof!

One day she was facing ethics charges, the next she wasn't.

She still faced the ethic charges AFTER she stepped down...and has been found not guilty or has done no wrong on all (except for one where she had to pay for a law that didn't even exist yet...)

So this guy that was her aid is apparently guilty of two ethics violations and is the only former Palin aid that has been investigated.

But that's ok, let's assume he is telling the truth now...what did he write?

1) After she and John McCain lost the 2008 presidential campaign, she returned to Alaska with little interest in governing. Bailey claims Palin told him as early as February 2009 that if she could find the right message to tell Alaskans, she'd "quit tomorrow." In April he said she sent him an email saying, "I hate this damn job." She resigned in July 2009.

2) Palin used her children for political gain. The Daily Beast reports that Bailey blasts Palin for announcing Bristol Palin's pregnancy during the presidential race, as well as for carrying around baby Trig all over the place, even outside in nasty weather.

3) Palin is "obsessed" with righting wrongs she believes were done to her or members of her family. She will wage smear campaigns against anyone who goes against her, Bailey said.

4) Palin is apparently not a fan of Newt Gingrich. When Gingrich got an invitation to appear at a GOP event after Palin failed to confirm, Bailey said she sent him the following email:

Yes, (Newt/GOP) are egotistical, narrow minded machine goons… but all the more reason God protected me from getting up on stage in front of 5,000 political and media ‘elites' to praise him, then it be shown across the nation. At some point Newt would have shown his true colors anyway and we would have been devastated having known we'd earlier prostituted ourselves up in front of the country introducing him and acting like that good ol' rich white guy is the savior of the party.

5) Palin didn't keep her commitments, Bailey wrote:

Getting Sarah to meetings and events was like nailing Jell-O to a tree. On the campaign trail and as governor, Sarah went through at least ten schedulers, with few lasting more than months. Nobody wanted the job because Sarah might fail to honor, at the last minute, the smallest commitments, and making excuses for her became a painful burden.

Bailey said he has not spoken to Palin since the fall of 2009. He said he harbors no ill feelings towards her. It's unlikely that feeling is mutual

5 Things Learned in Frank Bailey's Sarah Palin Tell-All

Well, he wrote that she got fed up with being Gov. She announced her daughter was pregnant during the campaign for political gain...even though I recall they tried to hide that fact for a short time. She didn't like having her kids attacked and took it personally. She didn't like Newt and she didn't show up to every event.

Shocker. I'm stunned. Oh the horror. Had this woman ever gained any real political power...well....well....the world might have just ended.

I then informed you there where two books. You have only sped read one of then.

I do NOT need to go back into a restaurant which serves crappy food which gets you sick and is totally unsatisfying. If you decide that you want to give such an experience a second chance, thats your choice.

Palin's first book was meaningless ideological fluff which wasted my time. I did not need the same bad experience twice.

But you are more than welcome to keep paying that bill and eating bad food.

Isn't it odd that of all the liberal leaning posters commenting in this thread, only one, (PB), has actually stated this book is a 'dirty trick' if the guy who wrote it turns out to have actually used emails he got while working for Palin... emails with information not provided to the general public... which is against the law in Alaska if you do it for personal gain (like writing a book). This is what he's under investigation for, btw.

Kudos to PB for once ;)

Jmac: "Prove it."

Jmac, are you suggesting that Obama does not have an undergraduate degree from Columbia and a J.D. from Harvard?

I am suggesting that for some reason checking this out seems to be off limits.

I am as Conservative as the sky is blue. Not the biggest of Palin supporters, but do not have any deep-rooted disdain for her.

If this guy violated Alaska law in the writing of this book, then I would hope he is nailed. But I do not condemn him for what he has done. I don't care. He's a smuck making a buck. I do fault Palin. He was her guy. She chose him. Now he sticks it in her back. Because she chose poorly.

It comes with the turf. Smucks always have been, and always will be. It is the job of the person on the top, in this case Palin, to choose wisely enough so that this doesn't happen. I blame Palin for hiring a smuck. And then giving him enough ammo to do this.

Shame on Palin.

Why, yes he is. And the reason nobody's jumping to get him the President's transcript is because he won't believe it when he sees it, anyway.

I'm assuming that everybody and his brother knowing that the President was the editor of the Harvard Law Review means we've all been led astray.

Now, doesn't it appear that both the NYT and Harvard are under the impression that Mr. Obama graduated from Columbia?

You may have missed a post. ^^

Actually, I draw considerable distinctions between someone who betrays a trust so as to be as a whistleblower, and one who uses trust so as to murder.

Analogy fail.

If Bailey is a whistle-blower, he's blowing it a little late.

Whistle fail.

If Bailey is a whistle-blower, he's blowing it a little late.

Whistle fail.

Very much maybe so. It is hard for me to hold him in any regard with this. Even if he is as contrite and epihany-minded as the savior himself.

I could care less about his actual book too.

Palin has to learn from this. I think she is at her apex already, but if not, its beyond me regardless. If she moves beyond in any way, she needs to keep folks like this out of the loop, but also not give them ammunition lest one try to harm her. I got this deep rooted judgement call that one is either better than this, or they are not.

Palin is coming up a little short for me.

Prove it.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're joking. If you aren't, then no proof would ever be sufficient.

Which one? The one Ayers wrote? or the one where he spews anti colonial tripe?

There's absolutely no reason to believe Barack Obama did not write Audacity of Hope, or Dreams From My Father, let alone that Bill Ayers secretly wrote one of them.
Can't get past the elongated "s" in his manner of speaking, his arrogance, or his stupid protruding chin.

Arrogance; a characteristic which, supposedly, has never been exhibited by anyone with an 'R' next to their name? This is absurd.

It's telling that you confine your criticism to entirely superficial comments on his appearance and mannerisms.
Here we go with this crap again, it must foretell election season. Where obama enlists his friends at PolitiFact, and the Annenburg project known as FactCheck....Ha! yeah right. Maybe you can come up with the ever laughable 'out of context' just to remain totally predictable, or, ohhh, ooooh, better yet the 'racist' tag.....That is always a crowd pleaser.

I'm not even going to speculate as to what you're rambling about.

"political lean: other" lol. Yeah right. Man, you libs are so transparent it is funny. Why not just call her a "slut" like MSNBC's Ed "Fat dumb bastard" Schultz called Laura Ingrham? Embrace your misogynist inner lib.

j-mac

First of all, I'm not a Liberal, although, I am unmoved by attempts by the right to rebrand it as a dirty word. I'm a Libertarian Socialist. (A real Libertarian.)

Also, the assertion that Liberalism is inherently mysogynistic is ridiculous, but that appears to be true to form.

The protruding chin is a big turnoff. Just curious if you prefer male candidates with high cheekbones?

Troopergate, oh yeah, another made up scandal that only got legs cause she was the VP Candidate. I know, like how she really faked her pregnancy so that her daughter wouldn't look like a whore having Trig!

Wasn't Troopergate where Clinton had troopers run interference while he cheated on his wife?
