AP Exclusive: Former Palin aide pens tell-all

Liberal hit piece? It was written by one of her aides. Do you honestly believe Palin is dumb enough to have a liberal aide?

No it wasn't. It was written by the self proclaimed progressive writer Ken Morris.

Yes it was. l2read.

Morris said he, Bailey and Jeanne Devon, who writes a widely read Alaska political blog, spent 18 months writing the book in secret. Morris said that while he was the lead writer who crafted the material into a story with a character arc, the story belongs to Bailey.

Exactly. But the point is that this guy had to find a progressive writer. That means it is entirely possible that the writer wanted the information to be true, so he didn't check the facts. The article also states that Morris shaped the story. If the writer admits he's biased, we should be very pessimistic about the validity of the content.

What if David Limbaugh wrote a tell all about Obama...would you really jump to the conclusion that it was 100% true just because he got some e-mails from a former aid?

No. 5000 emails though? Yeah.

Also, I'm wondering why she didn't block publication.

P.S.: Exactly? You just contradicted yourself.

Well, it was written in secret...I would assume that means she didn't know about it. But, even if she didn't SHE CAN'T BLOCK THE PUBLICATION. It has been established the public officials don't have the same right to privacy as ordinary citizens.

But we all knew yesterday or earlier. She could have gotten an emergency injunction to prevent release.

True. A manuscript was leaked in February. She's had plenty of time to try to block it.

Where has it been established?

Actually, it's entirely possible he IS telling the truth. Just as possible as it is that he's lying. She's no second coming of Christ. She's human. Hello, Troopergate.

You really don't have a clue what happened with "Troopergate", do you?

He will get my money as I will eagerly purchase this book.

If he's lying, the e-mails will tell. If he's not then he can produce any e-mails that back up his claims. What an interesting situation, a former Palin aide is writing about what everybody already knew was true. Palin didn't quit because of politics in Alaska. She quit for the same reason anybody else would quit: to make more money.

Give me "60 thousand" of your e-mails, and I'll paint any picture I want of you.

Only a fool would by this book....

You could do that with his posts here, and it wouldn't be pretty. LOL

Backatcha, sweet pea. Neither one of us was there.

Really? You could only if you made things up. Emails are just like any other correspondence. Letters, phone calls, audio tapes etc. Palin wrote those emails, no one else did. What is in them are her thoughts, opinions, directives, Emails reveal many things about a person just as tapes of Nixon revealed who he really was.

I wonder why does everything have to be so conspiritorial? Why can't a person just be speaking the truth for a change? Why does everything have to be for personal glory or financial gain?

Is it possible that the author of this tell-all book could actually be telling the truth? Think about it for a moment...?

If Sarah Palin is so innocent of wrong doing, why were folks bringing about lawsuit against her in the first place?

If she didn't violate any ethics rules/laws, why didn't she remain Alaska's governor and fight the charges? No state-sponsored legal fund you say? Well, she had access to two of them set up by people who came to her defense. What happened to the money? And does anyone know what the outcome was of the charges that were brought against her? Clearly, she wasn't convicted...why? Was she found innocent or did she leave office as part of some deal to have the charges dropped?

I'm not trying to belittle her; I'm just asking questions because it does appear that she caused alot of problems while governor and then ran when the **** hit the fan. To that, I think it only fair to ask if the author is telling the truth and as such do people not want to believe that this woman has done wrong in her brief political career? Or could it be that Sarah Palin is just a victim of someone seeking to make his fortune off her by spinning the issues?

As BDBoop points out, if Palin does run for the presidency the truth will come out one way or another. And either the accusations brought against her long before this book was published will be proven to be true or she'll be vindicated. I say let the chips fall where they may.

Well what we do know is that while she was governing, her approval ratings were much higher than Barrack Obamas while he is governing.

Then why did you mention it?

Because I'm free to do so? But you said I didn't know what happened. Well, you don't either.

Everyone on these boards are free to post uninformed opinions and it happens regularly. Usually they take the form you took, pretending you know something about some scandal, "Troopergate" in your case, when in fact you knew nothing whatsoever.

Why not post something political where you have some knowledge? Some insight perhaps?

Context.... one can get what context they want by limiting and including, certain things. Ommision is still a lie.

no lets just take folks at face value, my bad.... I salute our gay sex having crack smoking, muslim kenyan president.

So in your mind anything written down, emailed, taped, or recorded can not be used to obtain the truth? Because of context? That's funny. These are Palins own words. They should reveal a great deal about her. Of course sheep like you will never believe the truth if it tarnishes the image of your heroine.

Sheep like me? My heroine?

i don't like Palin, would never vote for her. But I am not all turgid over a hit piece on her by some office pogue looking to score a big payday.......

But I like that extremist logic you got there. It's real purty.
