Re: Missouri officials say tornado killed at least 89

Living in some places or any place have it's natural disaster threats we have to live with. When I moved to Dallas for couple of years I was scared to death of Tornadoes and was nearly caught up in one.

They still frighten me much more than Earth Quakes, but here in recent times Tornadoes have been showing up more and more in California.

Turns out they were always here but the media wasn't as numerous as they are today.

I pray for the people who have been affected by this devastation, and they need the help they can get as do those in the flooded areas.

These tornadoes seem really bad. I hope they stop soon.

Re: Missouri officials say tornado killed at least 89

Hi everyone. I live in Joplin. It was an F5 for sure that hit. Everything it touched was destroyed. This storm took the life of my kids grandmother on their moms side and very nearly killed every one of my children and my grand daughter. My business is just gone...there is nothing but a foundation where my office building was, it's just razed. There were bodies literally everywhere as it hit two apartment complexes that were next to my office building. It hit them directly. It was the most horrible thing I've ever seen.

You could not tell it was a tornado. My kids and I had just left my sons graduation and the family was on the way to meet their grandma and grandpa at Pizza Hut for dinner when it hit. My kids all went different directions and stopped before going to Pizza Hut, I think that is all that saved their lives because the storm hit the restaurant directly and killed several people, including their grandma. When I looked south down Range Line all I could see was a large black mass block the horizon. You could not tell it was a tornado. I was about a half mile from it maybe. It was the most terrifying event I've ever experienced. I could not reach my kids for nearly two hours. They finally began texting as that is really all that would work.

Trump Derangement Syndrome, or TDS, affects millions of right wing Americans. Symptoms include frequent use of "whataboutisms," irrational rants about how the DNC, GOP, MSM, FBI, NSA, CIA, and FB are all conspiring to get Trump, blaming Obama and/or Clinton for things Trump has done or is doing, and a bizarre admiration for Vladimir Putin. Known TDS vectors are Fox News and the @RealDonaltTrump twitter feed.

Thanks bro. Luckily Westboro Baptist Church is on their way here to celebrate the deaths from this storm, reveling in gods awesome judgement on our rebellious state. They also plan to protest President Obama and Governor Nixon. I'm not sure I'm gonna be the most rational person at the counter rally (read Pro Joplin/Anti Westboro) that day.

Remove all the valve stem pins from their vehicles. Get a local radio station to pretend that their home has been destroyed on the air and then have the police detain them due to death threats.

I'm glad you are okay and I am so sorry for your family's loss.

Don't worry about those assholes. There are some Patriot Guards in Texas getting ready to ride up there, and I am sure that there are more in other states doing the same. Phelps and his minions are going to be surrounded, ridiculed, and ridden out of Joplin on a rail.

You need to take a look at this. This is an aerial view of the same area before and after the tornado. You can drag the line across the screen to see the differences.

    .
And Minneapolis. (Not the worst tornado of the bunch, but if we're moving people away from tornadoes...)
