Cherry Hill student's challenge to Tea Party champion Michele Bachmann prompts 'threa

Re: Cherry Hill student's challenge to Tea Party champion Michele Bachmann prompts 't

In other words : lets discount the news because it doesn't fit my world view

Not at all. I already said that threats toward the teen are unacceptable. I just don't take third hand say so that they happened. Show me proof.

Ok. In this case, if you ever cite a new article again, I will be sure to remind you of this thread.

Re: Cherry Hill student's challenge to Tea Party champion Michele Bachmann prompts 't

Is there actual proof of any threat? I have seen none.
j-mac
Have you checked anywhere? I haven't looked myself. As a corollary to "extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof," I generally don't bother to doubt reports of anonymous people making stupid comments on the interwebz. But, perhaps there were no stupid comments under news articles making threats. Id actually k.

Re: Cherry Hill student's challenge to Tea Party champion Michele Bachmann prompts 't

Looks like you do start those kinds of threads.

Looks like you need to learn some reading comprehension, too.

From Congressma*n Jack Kimble's Open Letter to Amy Myers, http://kim*bleforcong*ress.blogs*pot.com/20*11/05/cong*ressman-ki*mbles-open*-letter-to*-amy.html

Michele Bachmann is one of the finest Constitutional scholars I have ever known. I am not just saying that because she is a woman either. I honestly learn something new every single time she talks about the Constitution. The Constitution is the result of the greatest men of all 13 original colonies who got together on an excessively hot July 4th to write down the rules for how our government would work. They made history.

As much as I salute your intelligence, I am afraid you need to learn humility. In my day, that would have happened already during your PE classes, but I understand things have changed. If you want to challenge somebody to a test of Constitutional knowledge or a debate of any kind, then I will gladly accept on behalf of all Republicans in the 112th Congress. Just realize that if you accept, I will crush you. I know nearly all 2 dozen amendments backwards and forwards and with a little brushing up I will be ready for any challenge. If you want a challenge little girl, bring it.

Congressman Jack Kimble
Congressman CA-54

Update: If I appeared harsh to Amy I apologize.*.. [more] until she embraces the power of the GOP. In time she will realize she is mistaken about a great many things.

Andrew Reinbach: Michele Bachmann Called Out by a 16-Year-Old Girl

The above quote is in the comments of the above article.

Oh, and no doubt if I left it standing, everybody would declare my post a fraud so here's the original.

Anonymous response, too funny:

You should spend some serious time "brushing up". The Declaration of Independence was signed July 4th, not the Constitution (which was signed September 17, 1787). That's why July 4th is Independence Day. Also, there are 27 Amendments to the Constitution.

When I first came across this "challenge" by the 16-yo high school student in another thread somewhere in this forum, I thought it hilarious and yet refreshing that a high school student - any student! - was actually paying attention to our national politics. You can't blame the young lasse for calling the Congresswoman out. However, it is sad and rather pathetic that the young lady is being picked on now for stating the truth - that Congresswoman Bachman did, in fact, get her history wrong!

Whether Congresswoman Bachmann's gaffs "serve an injustice to not only the position of Congresswoman, but women everywhere" is true or not, you have to give the young lady props for atleast caring enough that women in politics come correct and represent their gender well.

Amy Myers, on behalf of young women everywhere who dare to get involved in the political arena no matter what level, I salute you!

i publically challenge Obama to a debate!!!!!

Wahhhhh why won't he debate me!!!!! :lamo

Re: Cherry Hill student's challenge to Tea Party champion Michele Bachmann prompts 't

Why? I've consistently hated Bachmann, Palin and people who support them.

I support any effort to point out how stupid they are.

How does that make me hacky?

I've always said that GOP party's intelligence is watered down by the Tea Bagger base.

I'm sure you understand the meaning of 'hack'. Anti-stupid does not make one a hack as it doesn't support one political side or the other.

Self loathing is not what makes you a hack.... It's your one sided regurtitation of media matters, and your desire to "hate" people who have different views than you. :prof

Jack kimbal, just showed how this is a loose loose proposition for any politician, what a jerk. :lamo

i publically challenge Obama to a debate!!!!!

Obama is interviewed, questioned, analyzed all the time. His policies and views are under microscope every day.

No one in the so-called "liberal" MSM ever dissects Bachmann for her stupidity...

Also one is the President of the United States, the other is a woman under qualified for Daisy Leader, a sad statement on the failings of the HoR.

Big difference, Rev.

Besides, the girl wrote an articulate and respectful letter... you just made a snarky remark on the interwebs. Maybe the 16-year-old should warm up with you by explaining why President and Congresswomen are not really comparable in the terms you'd like.

Or lose/lose...

Be careful the typo police read me the riot act downstairs. It's refreshing to know you're as human and me.;):peace

Perhaps if you embraced American Ideals, you wouldn't treat a president like an emporer...

there is no difference. fail.

Please show me where I "regurgitate" media matters...

This should be interesting....MM is nothing more than show transcripts and video clips showing the shortcomings of the far-right wing media propaganda. How does one regurgitate a reprinting of a show transcript?

My desire to 'hate'? That makes no sense. You don't have a 'desire' to have feelings.

I dislike the far-right and believe they are doing more to harm this country than the far-left. I support moderate, pragmatic, thoughtful approach to problems. I used to write long answers to questions you posed in previous threads, but I rarely got a serious response. Just insults and jibes. If you want to go back to serious discussions with me, fine, I'm game.

You said "hate" not you "dislike".... You are not a moderate, and it's strange you call yourself one. A moderate does not "hate" other Americans who disagree with you politically. Sorry charlie.

Serious discussion? from the poster who attributed rape of a child to the right wing to score political points? fail part 2. :lamo

By thinking he is more "untouchable" than a congresperson.

You're a mindreader?

Yes, the Good Reverend is.

But I did not need my superpowers for this simplicity....

Guess intelligent discussion with you was too much to hope for... Oh well. I would shrug, but they are all out of shrug smilies. Seems someone used them all up.

Really, in a heated discussion I used the word 'hate' instead of 'dislike'. Well then, that should define me. Everything I've ever said before should be ignored so you can attack me.

Serious discussion? from the poster who attributed rape of a child to the right wing to score political points? fail part 2. :lamo

Hyperbolic response on DP... Yeah, you've never done that.

Some of the things said to the girl were way over the line. Palin would describe it as rape had the same things been said about her children. You'd think super-mom Bachmann would be appalled.

Let me ask you, how many responses and comments attacking the girl did you actually review? As a parent, I'd think you'd have some thoughts on their appropriateness. Though, if it's all about partisanship for you, I suggest you avoid looking at them.
