IMF head charged over alleged attempted rape

Editor's Correction in bold:
True, Leftists don't care about such things unless it is a rightward leaning politician. Then wiping your hand under a toilet stall or sending text messages becomes part of the culture of corruption mantra of these supposedly disinterested Leftists. In matters of forced criminal sexual encounters Leftists merely shrug off the event and degrade it to mere sex scandal status.

But as I posted, Leftist Euronews is frantically attempting to cover for their boy wonder over here saying that the defence for what is looking more like a sexual predator of the worst kind is that he was not even in the hotel when it happened but this story has changed to consensual sex, leaving such stations looking ever so confused as to what to do for their socialist icon. Plus it is a tad convenient say the breathless Leftists that a few days before a very important meeting for the EU and IMF, then suddenly he gets arrested in the US for attempted rape. Of course this is a set-up say the Leftists and claiming it is not the first time such a thing has happened... and point to wikileaks as their defense. Leftists of course are willing to believe some evil party decided to put their entire political foundation on the line by using a maid from a hotel in NYC to engage and defile this great Frenchman.

It seems that the liberals posting are almost willing to give the guy a pass, and say that nothing happened, or the "innocent til proven...." line.

Yea, I know, that stupid constitution that the right constantly quotes in their never ending quest for gun ownership would have no relevance when it comes to the judicial system. "Innocent until proven guilty" is stupid. If the man was arrested for it, he did it, right?

Goodbye conservative party, I'm glad I left you in the dust. I happen to think the constitution, all parts of it, are equally important and valid. Go cling to your guns.

Usually this is done when the content is factual.

And yet, there's no way of proving that his claim is factual, you're pretty much taking his word and treating it as fact. Go around in circles much?

Peggy Noonan points out the difference between the American response and the French response.

The allegations against Dominique Strauss-Kahn, who stepped down as chief of the International Monetary Fund after being charged with seven counts including attempted rape and unlawful imprisonment, are just that, allegations. He's been indicted, not convicted. But half the French establishment knew about what they called his woman problem, and at least one previous accusation of harassment. It was an open secret. "Everyone knows that Dominique Strauss-Kahn is a libertine," said Gilles Savary, a member of the European Parliament Socialist party. He "doesn't try to hide it."

DSK, as he's known, is almost a classic villain—elegant, august, satyrlike in his multithousand-dollar suits and his multithousand-dollar suite. He is the perfect "champagne socialist," as they're now calling him, who preys on the weak—for who is less defended and more at the mercy of the world than a 32-year-old hotel maid, a widow, a West African immigrant working to support herself and her daughter?

But what is most startling about the story is not the charge that a powerful man did a dreadful thing. It is the utter and profound difference between the U.S. response to the story and the French response.

America was immediately sympathetic to the underdog. The impulse of every media organization, from tabloid to broadsheet to cable to network, was to side with the powerless one in the equation. The cops, the hotel's managers, the District Attorney's office—everyone in authority gave equal weight and respect to the word of the maid. Only in America (and not always in America) would they have taken the testimony of the immigrant woman from Africa and dragged the powerful man out of his first-class seat in the jet at JFK.

In France, the exact opposite. There, from the moment the story broke, DSK was the victim, not the villain. It was a setup, a trap, a conspiracy. He has a weakness for women. No, he loves them too much. Hairy-chested poseur and Sarkozy foreign-policy adviser Bernard-Henri Levy sneeringly referred to "the chambermaid," brayed about DSK's high standing, and called him "a friend to women." Jean Daniel, editor of Le Nouvel Observateur, sniffily asked why "the supposed victim was treated as worthy and beyond suspicion."

Why wouldn't she be treated as worthy, buddy? One is tempted to ask if it's the black part, the woman part or the immigrant part.

As David Rieff wrote in The New Republic, to French intellectuals, DSK deserves special treatment because he is a valuable person. "The French elites' consensus seems to be that it is somehow Strauss-Kahn himself and not the 32-year-old maid who is the true victim of this drama."

Americans totally went for the little guy. The French went for the power.

Lafayette would weep.

Someone once sniffed, "In America they call waiters 'Sir.' " Bien sur, my little bonbon. It's part of our unlost greatness.

Yep... she nails it.

That's a morally bankrupt nation. Not all, but too many, and too many in positions of power. That this deviant was allowed to practice his perverse craft is projectile vomit material, and reflective of the nation's lack of moral fiber.

I agree with Noonan. The European response has been an incredulous composite of "how could America take the word of a poor black immigrant over that of a powerful, important person." I think that's what has galled me about all this, that and the smear campaign aimed at the poor woman. It's like, okay, he's been accused of a crime and he'll have the best team of lawyers money can buy and we'll all make popcorn for the trial, then see what evidence is presented. Europe is like, "OMFG, how can they dare try this powerful individual on the word of a poor black nobody." That elitist crap grates on my last nerve.

Now you wouldn't be taking this a little too literally would you? Look, we are just talking about it, using the limited information we have through the media. Nothing we are sayig in here would allow either an acquittal or conviction in real terms, however, the evidence so far IN MY OPINION points to his guilt of the act.

The above is from a sick mind... 15 minutes alone with this perverted predatory jerk, and he'd be a bloodied mass of protoplasm.

The incredible level of arrogance pisses me off to no end... and then we have the French and many in the International press, for they knew the score... these folks are accomplices, they're equally callous too, as the following line reveals...
Marc Semo, foreign editor the French newspaper Libération, confirms this perception. ...With Strauss-Kahn it was a joke around the newsroom. We’d say, ‘If you want to get a good interview, send a young female reporter.’ ”
Dominique Strauss-Kahn’s open secret - World - Macleans.ca

So, this ethical journalist knew he was a pervert, and the best way to get an interview was to use women as rape bait. Gotta hand it to those Europeans, they've got morals and ethics.

What a disgusting lot.

We shouldn't be too hard on Europeans as there are also many who can be quite intelligent.

We call them 'immigrants'.

People dance to the magic wand. Rarely know is that he was arrested for not funding bankrupt USA.

Quote, "IMF chief held hostage by the US government

............

On Monday evening, May 16, 2011 the Obama government reached and crashed through the $14.29 trillion debt ceiling. What is the debt ceiling? The debt ceiling is simply a cap on how much money the US federal government can owe. For instance, if the debt ceiling was set at $14.29 trillion, then the US government would be forbidden from incurring a total public debt load of over $14.29 trillion. This $14.29 trillion number includes both public debt (money that is owed to individual investors, foreign governments, pension funds, etc) and intragovernmental holdings (money that is owed to various government programs).

On the weekend (May 14 and 15, 2011) prior to this historic event the US government and the IMF chief were engaged in behind closed doors negotiations for an IMF financial bailout of the US government. IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn, a French citizen and political opponent of French president Nicolas Sarkozy for the French presidency, was in the US for this meeting. The Obama government failed to secure funds from the IMF chief. In retaliation the US government immediately launched a pre-planned smear campaign against the IMF – IMF head Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
.............

The US government is as of Monday May 16, 2011 bankrupt. The IMF was the US government’s last hope. Countries contribute to an IMF controlled pool which could be borrowed from, on a temporary basis, by countries with payment imbalances. As of June 2009, the International Monetary Fund held 3,217 tonnes (103.4 million oz.) of gold. In the past the IMF offered loans with varying levels of conditionality – mainly to poorer countries. The IMF wasn’t formed to loan money to rich countries like the United States. On the weekend prior to Monday, May 16, 2011 (when the Obama government reached and crashed through the $14.29 trillion debt ceiling limit) the Obama government attempted but failed to negotiate an IMF loan. Why did IMF chief, Dominique Strauss-Kahn decline the US government’s loan request? A good banker wouldn’t loan any amount of money to any person, company or country who couldn’t repay it – especially when bankruptcy is inevitable. So to distract the American public from the historic event of May 16, 2011 – when the US government crashed through the debt ceiling limit of $14.29 trillion – the US government, with the support of Libyan war of aggression ally French president Nicolas Sarkozy, illegally seized IMF chief and French diplomat Dominique Strauss-Kahn on US soil and is holding him hostage until the IMF pays the US government a ransom for his release.

ROTFLOL... that's a hilarious website. :lamo

Hilarious website may tell truth. Mainstream media may distract. It seems some particular people always guide people to a one direction lane.

Think with your own brain. Sex scandal is a common practise of celebrities. Arnold Schwarzenegger committed a lot. Yet, he never has been prosecuted. And even been elected California Governor. Because he works for the Feds.

Arnold Schwarzenegger 'mistress' claims she was just one of many women who shattered his 25-year marriage
By Daily Mail Reporter

17th May 2011

After announcing his separation from wife Maria Shriver this week, a woman has alleged she was just one of many mistresses that shattered Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 25-year marriage.

The 63-year-old Terminator actor denies an affair with Gigi Goyette, but the 52-year-old woman has said: ‘There were so many other women. About 13 have come out of the woodwork.’

She claims she met Schwarzenegger in 1975, when she was a 16-year-old child actress on Little House On The Prairie.
